Now, he does have a point about his first round matchup, but using soccer as a pejorative is asinine.

At least those soccer AD's didn't knock up a waitress in the back of a restaurant and then pay for her abortion. Just saying.
 
He's not wrong. And he may have a point. Maybe we shouldn't judge wellman as a bad basketball AD. Maybe he's just a good soccer AD.
 
His argument is ridiculous... How in the world is the selection committee supposed to find enough teams to pair up? So they have to keep teams close to home, they can't play a team they've played before even though every fan in America wants their teams to play top programs during the regular season, they can't be matched up against teams that are playing well, and now they can't pair teams when a team might have a former assistant OR someone who might have been a ball boy at the other school? This is ridiculous. Just play. Shut up and play.

Someone's always gonna bitch about some pairing...unavoidable. Could be worse: they could just draw the numbered balls out of a bag like they do for England's FA Cup...any team can meet any other team. Yes, that means Man Utd can draw Chelsea as early as the 3rd round (round of 64). Funny you never hear any bitching over there....those Brits are so darn polite.....:eek:
