Military Bowl Review

Seems the idea of competition is to see what you got on the field, how people have progressed, regressed and find the best player. Much can change in a year. Having 5 guys go at it is a positive thing. And, we will need more than one guy to get us through. We know that. Lets hope they all get better- everyone gets better including the OL. And we did squeeze in bowl practices. One has to feel better about us after getting to the bowl, winning the bowl and having a lot coming back. Not much sense following Wake football if you don't.

Why would he be when it has been pretty clear that he lost the QB battle and constantly reiterated that Hinton would be starting if he weren't injured?

Cheeseheads12 could be saying this because Wolford just left it all on the field in the bowl game, and he was Clawson's chosen one from his first year as head coach. Clawson could give Wolford the nod to begin fall practice just based on their lengthy history together and the class act that Wolford has carried himself as throughout his time here. Hell, obviously Im pro Hinton more than anyone, but even I would like to see Wolford succeed solely based on how he has stuck in there and taken the beatings. The thing is no matter how tough he may be, he just doesnt have the talent.

Clawson is as a competitive a MFer as there is. Anyone who thinks Clawson is going to sacrifice the chance to win games based upon seniority or something other than merit is not paying attention (BTW, that also applies to theory that Hinton is going to be given the starter's spot next year because he was the presumptive starter in 2016).

DC will play whomever gives WF the best chance to win games in 2017.
