NCAAF Championship Game: Oregon vs. Ohio State

Does this hurt Mariota's draft position? I feel like there were more drops than miscues on Mariota's part, though there were a couple bad throws.

I feel like the only offense he could be successful in is an Oregon style offense (aka Eagles).

Is it me or does he look like a Matt Ryan w/ great wheels?

The teams with the top two picks need QBs. Hard to see Jameis and Mariota not going in the top two regardless of how they performed unless they bomb the combine.

So where would Jones go if he came out and who would take him?

He's got a top 5 arm.

What's so tough about evaluating Cardale Jones is the complete and utter lack of tape on him.

It's bonkers to me to think that Cardale Jones would go pro after playing 3 college games.

Then again, those three college games were all dominating performances against top 10 teams, including a conference championship and the first two college playoff games.

Jets at 6 is too soon IMO for a largely unknown, but I wouldn't put it past their FO. Browns at 12 (or 19?) could happen I guess. Eagles at 20 seem very likely to take a QB.
If cardale comes out he's like a mid round pick

Cardale's a 22-year old sophomore. He needs to go pro soon before he's too old to play football.

" Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain’t come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS ”
—Cardale Jones, Twitter: October 5, 2012.

The issue with him waiting a year, in spite of next year's abysmal looking QB draft class, is that he'd probably get beat out by Barrett again for the starting job.

Logan Thomas was a 4th round pick. I think he'll come out and be taken no later than 2nd.

Some porn stars are recruiting Braxton on Twitter, or so I've been told

McShay is saying 4th round. No way he goes later than 3rd, probs 2nd.

Second round for a guy who's played three games in the past three years? He's going to have to knock people dead in his workouts. The guy's the same size as Cam though.

Yea those three games were against the best teams in the country. He has more potential than anyone in the draft, save jameis

I was thinking that his interviews would be most important. The guy's got all the tools and just performed in 3 huge games. I think he has to go, it's possible his stock will never be higher.

Lots of qb's go on hot streaks. And he was playing with a number of other great players. But I'm not Mel Kiper either. I obviously see the potential and the last month has been amazing, but he was third string behind a redshirt freshman for a reason. I'm not sure I see Cardale Jones as a guy starting 16 games a year and leading his team to the playoffs.
