Offical Sports Betting Thread

What was the rationale they provided for not giving you any more bonus bets after the first one? That the promotion was make 5 at least $5 live bets for one $5 bonus bet?

Is anyone else having an issue with Fanduel?

It just started yesterday around dinner time. If I login, everything looks fine, but anytime I click on a bet and it goes to my betslip, after about 5-10 seconds, the entire screen goes white. Like everything is just one big white blank page. The address in the address bar doesn't change, so it's not as if I was redirected somewhere, and the only way to get back is to either refresh the page or hit back and then go back to the home page. Either way, my bet is still in the betslip, but every time I try to bet or add another bet to the betslip, it blanks out.

I shut off all extensions in Chrome, and it's still happening.

I chatted in with the support staff, and the lady I got actually said since it worked on my phone and not my desktop, then my desktop needed a Windows update to work. I told her that makes ZERO sense and that a Windows update would not affect a website from working.

For reference, the site works fine in Edge, but not Chrome. The only change I made recently to Chrome was to disable graphics acceleration because for some reason it makes shows/movies on HBO Max to stutter and flicker. So I flipped that back on, relaunched Chrome, and still happening.

No clue what to do. I tend to do research on my desktop and like to place bets there, so I'd rather not just give up and only use my phone.

Does anyone have any guidance or tips? Has anyone experienced this? Google seems to show similar issues a few years ago from some people, but no resolutions I could find.

No idea honestly, I just bet on the apps. The only site I've consistently gotten to work on desktop without a pain due to the geolocater needs is DraftKings

Had a bit of a heater come to an end yesterday with an 0-4 day. Up pretty good over the last six weeks with a very solid NCAAT plus several big hits at the Masters. Also cashed out an Aberg ticket entering Sunday to just roll that over directly to Scottie to win (boosted on DK) which was just direct profit. It wasn't big, but it was growing that bankroll!

PGA team event this week is always just throwing darts especially with pretty limited value overall. Fading Cantlay and Xander but have small bets on Rory/Lowry, Zalatoris/Sahith, the Fitzpatricks, and Garnett/Straka. Also have a top 10 bet for Garnett/Straka. Golf is by far my best betting sport over the last couple years, even excluding the Harman 125-1 hit at the Open, up over 100 units.

Wonder what the reason for that is overall. Is pace slower or are guys forcing it on a "bigger stage" (latter I don't know if you can really quantify it)

Rotations shorten, pace slows, and defensive intensity ramps up. Also, lots of teams over-coach in the post-season.

Post-season NBA unders have been a trend for a long time.

I don't really watch the NBA beyond an intense playoff series spot or game. That all makes sense though. Especially the defensive intensity lacking during the regular season

So I noticed at the end of the 8th inning of the Nationals/Dodgers game that there was a Live In-Game Profit Boost token available for that game only so I decided to bet on it. The score was 8-2 Dodgers but by the time I could get a bet in my bet slip they'd suspend betting because the Dodgers scored 3 straight runs. So they finally put the line back at Dodgers -9.5 runs.

Then the top of the inning ended with the Dodgers up 11-2 and the line didn't change, it was +230 for Nats +9.5, so I rushed and put down $90 with the 30% profit boost, just because that's what I was going to bet before and I didn't want them to suspend it again. Then I was waiting and waiting and it still didn't change...and then they upped it to +235 and I threw another $100 down....and then I started second guessing myself thinking I wasn't seeing something right....and then at 2 outs they upped it to +500. I was like....+9.5 means add 9.5 runs to the Nats and then pick the winner, which would be 11.5 to 11 Nats....so I was like the ONLY way the line could move is a closer spread.

I knew I was seeing it right so I went to put the rest of my bankroll on +500, but just as I did, they suspended it.

If I would have gotten that 30% profit boost on my whole bankroll I would have been rolling in it.

But the thing is, they still haven't settled the bet. My guess is, they were supposed to have the spread at +8.5 for the Nats and with every out kept upping the odds.

Can they really come back and negate a bet I made when it clearly went through?

So what's the point of making any bets in game if they can just say "Nahh...we changed our minds"

Hell, what's the point of betting at all.

Many books have voided a bet due to an incorrect line. Really surprised they paid you, but that is great to see them honor their mistake.

I wonder if they would have honored it at +500 and a bet for $500+....I was a split second away from getting that one in.

They probably had a lot of action on it because it was the "MLB TV Free Game of the Day LIVE PROFIT BOOST TOKEN" game. But not sure how many waited until the bottom of the 9th to use it haha

Have Conners/Pendrith at 28/1, Hadwjn/Taylor at 30/1 and a long shot of Lawrence/Potgeiter at 100/1 for some PGA action.

Hit for $547 on a simple LA Kings/Anze Kopitar goal parlay when it was tied 4-4 in the 3rd period. He scored the OT winner, so WOOT!

I've been really lucky recently. I was a Jayson Tatum 9th rebound away from hitting a 10 leg parlay that would've netted me $4K....it was O/U 8.5 and he got 8...I was watching DESPERATE for a rebound. Alas, it was not meant to be.

AKA You've gotten really unlucky lately!

No, but getting the Nats payout on a technicality is pretty lucky (and skillful on your part)

Everyone is coming off at least almost two days of rest.
