Okie St in trouble: Hostesses having sex with recruits, paying players, etc.

I don't think Evans ever went to OU, though he may be an OU homer. The other guy on the byline has solid credentials. OSU is in full denial-- at least their fans are. The administration has taken a different stance. They have preemptively apologized. Some are even taking the "it isn't happening now" stance, wrongfully thinking that the statute of limitations will save them.

Really surprised that Trooper Taylor's name hasn't come up in this yet. Guy is about as crooked as they come.

If they have this stuff on tape and video as has been stated, they're screwed. The other guy (not Evans) has said they wouldn't give the NCAA the stuff unless granted permission, but if their journalistic integrity is called into question, then you can guarantee they will hand it over.

In terms of sex with recruits and shit like that, who cares. The cash allegations are serious though, especially since it goes beyond boosters. It's systemic and involves coaches. Total death penalty shit, which they narrowly avoided back in the 80s. The grade stuff is serious too, though I think much more common and tough to enforce.

Tapatalk.

So basically a slightly more resourceful Stratt Townie Type.

Evans didn't go to Oklahoma. He went to Oklahoma Wesleyan. However he is a huge Sooner homer.

Evans has an established pattern of going after college football teams with questinable facts and sources. He went after Texas in 2008 in a story about a recruiting battle between Texas and Oklahoma. This was the story that ultimately got him fired from the NYT.

He then went after Auburn in the Cam Newton story with his stories and facts ultimately disproved. Interesting note Oklahoma was a finalist along with Auburn and Miss St. for Cam's services.

And now Ok State.

It's surprising Sports Illustrated would let this guy be on this story given his history. He has a proven track record of literally making up things against schools which are in opposition to his Sooners.

the weed stuff today is hilarious

Yeah, just sounds like some extra strength training to me.

The allegation of "30 players smoked marijuana between 2001 and 2011" was hilarious. Is that supposed to be shocking? More dudes smoke weed at Wake Forest in a single season than that.

OMG PLAYERS SMOKED POT?!

Bring on the hookers and strippers segment.

And yeah, this Evans guy looks like an ass.

This whole thing has completely backfired on SI. Their attempt to create this big story is getting torn to shreds by everybody.

Unless the final installment includes news that the plane crash in 2011 that killed the Oklahoma State Women's BB coach was an inside job, then this is going to very disappointing.

I also think dragging this out all week was a mistake, as nobody really cares about it now. They should've just released all the parts on the same day. Today was only the third installment, with one left, and it's basically ignored by most folks.

What's worse is that unless there's a big splash tomorrow, all of this will be forgotten very quickly, as most news stories from Friday don't carry legs on Monday.

it's apparent they went with the big hitter stuff on the first day. Each subsequent release has been less and less impressive. Kids smoking weed? Well no shit. And tomorrow we get to learn that they had sex.

This all feels awfully familar to an Auburn family that withstood months of rumor and innuendo.

Was the 2010 attack on Auburn because the program didn’t know its role? Because our Tigers dared to enter the national championship discussion with clearly the best player in decades at the helm? Were we grilled and drilled for being usurpers to the throne of the traditional powers?

those poor, innocent tigers of auburn.
