Has Wake ever had a Parade All-American commit? 6'3", 190 lbs. WR from Lincolnton, NC (brother a QB at UNC). Originally, appears he committed to Harvard but signed with Wake.

Plus, this guy lights it up on the basketball court. Has scored 50 in a couple of games in the same week:

Anyone know if he is planning to also play basketball at Wake?

(apologies if this has already been addressed in the very long recruitment threads)

James Brim a WR recruited to WF by Al Groh was a Parade A-A.

James Brim

"James, a member of Mount Airy's Class of 1983, played basketball, baseball and ran track, but it was his talents on the gridiron that earned him a spot on three national all-star teams including the Parade All-Americans and Bally All-Americans."

Per the football recruiting thread, Surratt said he is focusing on football and won't play basketball in college

He wasn't very good at WFU. He couldn't guard a stop sign and couldn't get his shot off.

John Wolford was honorable mention Parade AA, as this year's QB recruit Taylor Powell.
Pretty neat to open up the paper today and see two Wake recruits up there with the FSU's, Alabama's, Michigan's, etc.

True, but Buzz would never play any zone defenses that would have helped him in the game flow. Something was different at BYU for him.

I think they call it maturity. Chase had a year off when he wasn't expected to do anything on the BB court. That allowed his body an mind to mature. Also, BYU doesn't play quite the level of competition he was facing in the ACC.

Zone is hard for someone to play if you don't have much lateral movement. If you can't move, you create layup lines for the opposition.

Chase was hesitating in the ACC and not getting his shots off. Players in the ACC are much, much better than Chase saw at BYU.
