Season long PGA tour thread--the presidents cup from south korea

How many feet of putts has Harrington hit today? Looks like he's back to his old Seve like ways, hitting it all over the course and making a lot of up and downs and putts. What the heck would compel a guy who has just won 3 majors and who is ranked #3 in the world to make swing changes?

He's always been a tinkerer, even when he was playing well. Some near misses in '09 and lousy, inopportune rounds when playing well in '10 brought the self doubt and then he really started searching for that breakthrough that would get him back to the winner's circle. Crazy how many guys find themselves in the wilderness after attaining success at the highest level.

Now to 2nd play-off hole, #17.

One of the many great things about golf is that the competitors are not necessarily peers. Harrington is more than 2x Berger's age.

Too bad the kid put that in the drink. He really played great today. But it looks like we'll be seeing a lot of him.

Nice for Padraig to get back into relevance after a few years in the wilderness. Just wish he'd play faster. I found myself rooting for the kid, but either way, it's nice to see Poulter shank and choke his way out of contention and for Reed and Mickelson to fade away.

Reports coming out from a former tour pro saying tiger is serving a 1 month suspension for drugs...... This could get interesting...., PGA tour and tiger's agent deny the claims

While that story may cause more old white man boners than Viagra does this week - he sounds like a nutjob. Also claims Nike has a special illegal ball for Tiger and that they collect every range ball he hits and every ball he puts in play so they can't be tested. And of course he then admitted everything he said in the interview where he made the allegations was based on things he'd heard from other (unnamed) sources and he had no factual or firsthand info.

Plus, if Tiger's on drugs, they must be the worst drugs ever.

Olsen backed off Monday, telling ESPN.com's Michael Collins that "it was only my opinion."

"Everything I said on that radio interview was only my opinion and not based on any firsthand knowledge or facts," Olsen told ESPN.com. "I want to make a full retraction to everything I said for the entire radio interview, and I apologize to Tiger, Nike, Phil [Mickelson], [commissioner] Tim Finchem and the PGA Tour."

Yup prior to him hitting that shot I found myself getting annoyed with him continuing to back off wanting it completely quiet. Still great shot and happy for him.

Yeah, interesting that he admitted to 1 of the NBC guys he gets much more easily distracted than he used to. Seems to be battling himself, kinda like Kevin Na. That he can win here with a good field in that mindset is impressive.

Padraig was playing fast compared to Poulter.

Watching that asshole call over a rules official to ask about pine needles as movable obstructions - which everyone knows is the case - and then to watch him meticulously pluck needle after needle to create a bare spot to drop into - was brutal. But man, watching him get that perfect drop, only to thin his shot into a palm tree that knocked it into the water again and ended his tournament was such a sweet moment.

If he drops it on the pine straw and lays it up he probably wins.

62 from JB Holmes has to be the best round of the year by anyone so far. Crazy on that golf course.

It's the best round on tour since Furyk's 59 with respect to variance from the field stroke average.

Watch the spectators on the right simultaneously shit themselves... Taking a Bubba drive to the forehead would be a quick and painless death.
