Sons Of Anarchy - Season 7 [Final Season]

people identify or feel empathy for juice because it's really hard to remember why the club wanted him dead. they were very specific this episode to remind people but i can see how a casual watcher (my wife for instance) did not remember why. jax also keeps making terrible decisions and dragging everyone deeper (largely based on believing gemma's lies) but they make a big point of bobby -rip- elivis saying "we would follow jax anywhere because we love him." look where that has gotten you bobby... house full of dead hookers? check. nearly zero income unless that porn studio is making money... oh wait... it's filled with kids and family so no business happening there.

gemma has to go down hard and jax has to know and understand that she was the true evil behind every bad thing that has happened to the club since the very begining or what is the point?

I hate Juice he's a whiny bitch that should have died long ago.

Chibbs is the character I love the most, def have enjoyed him having a love interest and a bigger part.

like chibbs as well but they created a love interest in about 3 minutes of total screen time so i have a hard time feeling anything for that relationship.

The fact that Bobby Elvis stopped being the voice of reason for no reason but that "he loves Jax" is ridiculous.

The scene between Bobby and Drea De Matteo was LOLbad.

I had this EXACT thought watching that scene.

Part of me thinks Gemma is going to be the survivor. It’s her club and she has been successful in temporarily manipulating John, Clay and now Jax into making them believe it was their club.

To that end, I thought it would have been crazy for her to kill off Jax and install Juice as the new club president.

Sutter seemed to have some idea of overall season-long arcs until this finale season.

This is just a clusterfuck of nothing.

And the IRA would seriously not be OK with switching between 12 different buyers every 2 weeks.

Even if Juice told Jax that Gemma killed Tara, Juice saving her/covering for her is a billionty times worse than telling Nero that he killed the chick, which Nero doesn't really seem too torn up about.

Half way through the season and I'm so bored. Leave it to Sutter to drag everything along and then try to close up every possible storyline in the last 2-3 episodes.

I like how they hit us in the face with the Jury storyline, make us think he's going to get revenge on the club...only to have him disappear for 3-4 episodes.

I mean it's obviously him that leaked intel to Lin...but jesus finish a story (and stop creating one in 2 episodes like the Chibs/Sheriff shit)

It took me a second to remember what you were talking about. Not a good thing kurt.

Sutter's crazy, like legit a nut.

Just finishing the drill, hell this final season's been a heckuva lot better than other final seasons in other series (Dexter immediately comes to mind). Its not Breaking Bad but hell what is?

Of shows that I would consider to fall generally in the same category as this, SOA isn't having a great showing. A lot will depend on how the show closes. But in my opinion, my current list of best final seasons is something like this. Currently I'd have it in the middle tier, only above Dexter and Lost.

Breaking Bad
The Shield
The Wire
Friday Night Lights
The Sopranos

small gap

Lost

much larger gap

Dexter

The Wire's final season was pretty bad. I'd say there probably needs to be another gap in there somewhere.

The final season of The Wire didn't do anything for me, but definitely agree with your top 2 of BB and The Shield. Didn't watch FNL and thought the last ep of Sopranos was great.

Bad is a strong statement. It was still The Wire. Everything related to the dumb fake serial killer story wasn't very good, but all of the other character stories were strong as I remember. Any season of The Wire is still pretty far ahead of just about everything else on TV.

I compare Sons more to LOST/Dexter/Rescue Me.

BB, Shield, Wire, FNL and Sopranos are my top 5 shows OF ALL TIME not including Deadwood.

Sons of Anarchy would be a tier 2 show.

Tier one: BB, Shield, Wire, FNL, Sopranos, Deadwood, Seinfeld, Cheers, Mad Men (I guess you could argue Lost)...

Game of Thrones is pretty much tier one right now.

Tier two: Dexter, LOST (imho), Rescue Me, Six Feet Under, Sons of Anarchy, 24, etc.

Walking Dead is a tier 2 show.

Eye for an eye.

I think that was Kathy Segal singing Greensleeves at the end too.

It was pretty clear that they forced in naming the Jewish pimp guy Greensleeves so they could have Sagal singing the song at the end of the episode.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

OMG.

Also, I passed out and missed 20 minutes or so, but did they ever explain why Juice is not dead? It was dumb that they wanted him dead, but dumber still that there was no explanation I remember for why they don't anymore.
