Is it a little screwed that the WFU women got 2 other big time conference champs in our regional? I'd imagine were the top seed or top 2/3 overall at worst.
Which conferences? Is it a little screwed that the WFU women got 2 other big time conference champs in our regional? I'd imagine were the top seed or top 2/3 overall at worst.
25th consecutive regional for the men’s team according to AD Currie’s email this morning.NCAA Regionals Summary:
Top 5 teams from each women's and men's regional advance to the NCAA Championships.
Here are the regional lineups for the WF Women and Men:
Women: May 6-8
WF hosts the Bermuda Run Regional the invited teams and seeds (parens means the team is the conference champ):
- Wake Forest (ACC)
- Texas (Big 12)
- Ole Miss
- Mississippi State (SEC)
- UCF
- South Florida
- Tennessee
- Oregon State
- North Texas
- Delaware (CAA)
- Charleston Southern (Big South)
- Navy (Patriot League)
Men May 13-15
Austin Regional (University of Texas Golf Club)
1. Tennessee
2. Arkansas
3. Texas [Big 12 Conference]
4. Georgia
5. Wake Forest
6. Notre Dame
7. UNC Greensboro
8. Brigham Young
9. Utah
10. San Jose State
11. Grand Canyon [Western Athletic Conference]
12. Arkansas State [Sun Belt Conference]
13. Kansas City [The Summit League]
For the teams that advance, La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, CA will host the NCAA Championships (May 17-22 for the Women; May 24-29 for the Men)
Plus you don’t have to win a regional to advance to NCAA finals. The Top 5 from each regional move on.SEC plays 3 rounds of match play in their championship...the #1 (S. Carolina) and #2 (Auburn) seeds got knocked off in the quarterfinals, Miss. St. was the 4th seed (and wasn't even ranked in the top-25 in the April 12th WGolf rankings), so just luck of the draw that you ended up with the Big 12 and SEC champs in your regional. They are probably the 5th or 6th best team in the SEC.
Probably going to try to get out there tomorrow.Who is heading out these next couple days? I'm trying to clear some meetings so I can make it out there today or tomorrow.
You would think that in 2024 that every NCAA championship would at least be available to stream.Regionals are not televised. The national finals will have coverage on the final day of stroke play (Mon.), and both days of match play (Tues/Wed), since golf channel needs programming on those days.
Any way to see the current scoring?
