WF Baseball Off-season Thread

Lots of potential options:

Returning players: Crawford Wade (he was supposed to play a key role last year until he was injured), Joe Ariola, Will Andrews, Ben Shenosky
Freshman: Haiden Leffew, Blake Morningstar, Brody Shawn, Andrew Koshy, there are others
Transfers: Will Gervase, Will Schomberg

Is he on the radar?
Don't think so. 22890 can fall out of bed and find himself at the Northeastern baseball field; so, he has been keeping us updated on NE baseball throughout the year. FWIW, would think that Northeastern's Mike Glavine would be the perfect hire for the BC job.

Didn't BC hire Wofford's coach?

It feels like we are still going to get another big name pitcher, but maybe that's just me being greedy

Dammit, numbers - for a sec there I was like, "woah" :)

Last year we were so blessed to have 7 extremely dependable guys on the scale from extremely dependable to Lowder.

For now, it looks like:
Burns
Hartle
Massey
(Roland?)
Need at least 3 others to step up — and then 1-2 more to be mildly competent for the midweek games.

Is Mascolo back? Does he have the stuff to make a leap or is he what we saw?

Has Roland said he is coming back yet?

Reed is done. Crawford Wade back is a big one for us. Will need one or two of the touted freshmen to step up in a middle reliever role. And maybe the Davidson transfer will be the midweek guy.

ETA: Ariola and Ray should be able to provide some innings as well. And I believe Les said Walter’s son may be back as well.

It's been reliably reported elsewhere that Roland is returning, now that he wasn't drafted. He is pitching in the Cape League.
