Seriously? Just shut down the Board for Wake basketball topics...What more can anyone say about the basketball program?

Manning is the Wake basketball equivalent of Chuck Mills, only Chuck had some personality

There isn’t really a need. No one is watching the games so no one is actually talking about Wake b-ball.

Chuck Mills went .500 in the ACC twice when Wake Forest Football was at a huge structural and institutional disadvantage.

Yes, sans FSU, Miami, ND, Pitt, Cuse, L'ville, GT

Yea, but even in '75 when he won 3 ACC games (and and only 3 overall) he beat good programs like NC State in Raleigh (QB Jerry McManess ran around the end inside the 10 for the decisive TD. Both he and RB Clark Gaines. NY Jets, were jr. college transfers from Lees McRae) & UNC in C.H. (John Zeglinski had an unbelievable punt return for a TD). UVa was the other, but they were terrible back then. (We beat them 66-21 @ UVa....I remember turning on the radio and finally picked it up and thought I'd misheard the score of 21-0 because it was in the first minute or so in the game, but it was accurate. IIRC, one TD was off a KO fumble, one on a 1st and 10 INT for TD, and 3rd 1st and 10 fumble for TD). 4 losses could have easily been wins: SMU 7-14, App 17-19, Kansas St. 16-17, and Clemson 14-16.

So, qualitatively, that seems like more of an accomplishment than anything Danny has done.

Ga Tech averaged 5.5 wins per year during Mills' tenure.
Louisville: 4.2
FSU: 3.8
Pitt: 8.4
Syracuse: 3.8
Miami: 3.8

Notre Dame, which isn't in the ACC and doesn't figure into a .500 record won an average of 9.8 games.

Yes. To start...Hatch FUCKED Shaka. That info came from someone who has known SHAKA's agent for many, many, many years and knows SHAKA. So far everything he has said has been true.

The biggest question Wake is, "Will Curry and Hatch join the 21st century ACC live or live in the past?" If Charles Holtzman got $71M/10 years as base at Ohio St, top level coach will want at least $60m or so at Wake.

Do they want to lose or win?

Do they want to lose or win?

They want to appear to want to win. If they can figure out how to actually win without having to pay all the money and do all the work, they would be happy. But that's secondary to the appearance of wanting to win.

Maybe this will change with Currie. Maybe it won't. We'll know in a month.

Imagine what it feel like to actually be competitive again. Beating VT will feel like the fucking super bowl.
