What to do in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos?

The casino sucks!

Went for our honeymoon. There is not a lot of nightlife. We enjoyed fruity drinks on the beach mainly. Some good restaurants. We did a sunset catamaran cruise which was great. Lots of snorkeling. Had planned to dive but the ocean wasn't cooperative. It's a terrific place to relax. Beautiful and safe. The natives (Belongers) are nice. We walked to and from dinner on the beach each night and felt very safe. Enjoy!

Any updated recs? I'm heading here in 3 weeks, have no plans right now, just booked the hotel.

Where are you staying? We are tentatively planning a trip there this summer

Somerset on grace bay.

Needed a place with two bedrooms, bringing the kid and someone to watch him. Got super pricey trying to do that at Gansevoort or Amanyara or that one place that is on its own island

Nonny and I ran into each other at the Club Med there over Christmas. If you're into the Club Med thing it's a pretty solid one.

They sell day passes for all inclusive drinks/food/activities (sailing, snorkel, trapeze, tennis, water aerobics, laying on the beach, etc.) that if I remember correctly were actually pretty affordably priced for what you get.

We love that place but it's not super happening. Best to lay on the beach, relax, drink. Some good restaurants. Very safe and clean for an island. We did a sunset cruise there that was awesome. Otherwise just hanging out

We stayed at The Somerset in 2007 and it was great. No kids for us, but there were families and it was quiet. Service on the beach was great.

We had a very nice meal at Magnolia Wine Bar (followed by Harvey Hale dropping 21 in two OTs against GT) and decent bar food at The Tiki Hut. Those were both close.

Da Conch Shack is a great time.

Bugaloo's Conch Shack >>> Da Conch Shack. It's 10-15 min from Grace Bay, but far better atmosphere and views.

The weekly Thursday night Fish Fry is great. Local vendors congregate and a band plays live island music. Very good mix of locals and tourists.

Asu was our favorite place to eat on Grace Bay. Coco Bistro was our favorite in town.
