Yet again, more former Deacs than current Deacs in NCAA Tourney. Thanks Wellman.

We haven't had much to cheer about when March rolls around thanks to the terrible choices of our Athletic Director Ron Wellman. The closest thing we've had to Wake Forest being in the NCAA Tournament is... well... former Wake Forest players playing in the NCAA Tournament. The excitement and thrill we all felt by beating Texas in OT back in 2010 is a feeling that we haven't come anywhere close to replicating ever since. That is, unless you still root for former Demon Deacons who have transferred to other schools. Since our 2010 Tourney appearance several other former Wake players have seen the big stage:

2010: We actually went to the dance, beat Texas in our opener, lost to #1 seed Kentucky in Round 2
2011: Buzz arrives. Deacs Miss NCAA Tournament. Former Deac Jamie Skeen and VCU make it to the Final Four
2012: ??? Anybody ??? No Deacs at all?
2013: Tony Woods (WFU recruiting class of 2008) and Oregon make it to the Sweet 16
2014: Tony Chennault (Villanova), Carson Desrosiers (Providence), Chase Fischer (BYU, sitting out this year) will be dancing.

11 total transfers that are included during this timeframe... sad... let me know if I'm forgetting anyone. Buzz Out Please.

Anthony Fields, WFU recruiting class of 2011 (transferred to Bradley)
Carson Desrosiers, WFU recruiting class of 2010 (transferred to Providence)
Tony Chennault, WFU recruiting class of 2010 (transferred to Villanova)
JT Terrell, WFU recruiting class of 2010 (transferred to USC)
Melvin Tabb, WFU recruiting class of 2010 (transferred to Kent State)
Ari Stewart, WFU recruiting class of 2009 (transferred to USC)
Konner Tucker, WFU recruiting class of 2009 (transferred to Sam Houston State then postgrad at UTEP)
Tony Woods, WFU recruiting class of 2008 (transferred to Oregon)
Jamie Skeen, WFU recruiting class of 2006 (transferred to VCU)
Anthony Gurley, WFU recruiting class of 2006 (transferred to UMass)
Casey Crawford, WFU recruiting class of 2006 (transferred to Colorado - decided to pass on his final year of eligibility under BZZZZ)

As an aside, Buzz told Crawford to GTFO. Nice guy, that [Redacted].

Fields is actually playing less minutes at Bradley than he did at Wake.

What was that story again? I see he ended up at Manhattan. He was class of ???? and had his offer pulled by Wake due to his injuries? Did he end up leaving Manhattan after his Sophomore season (2011-2012)? Doesn't look like he's on the team anymore.

Chennault in action tonight vs Milwaukee. His PT fluctuates quite a bit, he's seen as few as 4 mins of PT and has started in other recent games for Nova so we'll see what type of role he plays.

Too much special grease.
