I would like to post a topic about the mathematical possibilities of Wake getting a bowl--68 teams have qualified. I went through the list of teams and counted 68 with at least 6-6 records. Assuming that I counted them correctly, having done it twice, the Big East has two teams that could qualify this weekend making it a moot point. If both Big East teams qualify and Ga Tech loses to Fl State, going 6-7, will Ga. Tech not go to a bowl and does Ga Tech as Coastal Division champion rank higher than Wake, which has a higher APR? Yes, almost certainly, following the UCLA precedent of last year. If both Big East teams lose, then Wake and Ga Tech will likely go, but one Big East team, Pitt, will likely win as they they play South Florida, which has won only 3 games, thereby making it 69 teams. UConn, with five wins must beat Cincy in Cincy, a much tougher task. Can you post this for me? This is my first post.
