Cops Tase/Beat/Arrest Unruly Fan at PNC Park

I usually agree with you but in this case that guy took a swing at the usher. The cops had not choice but to apprehend him at that point IMO.
He didn't take a swing, he pushed him with his forearm because the usher got involved when he shouldn't have gotten involved. There was absolutely no reason to do what he did (and IMO deserved the push). But that's what escalated the problem. It looks like the cops and usher start to make threats and the dude dares them to act.

Whatever the guy did to get escorted out wasn't on the tape, but the tape is pretty bad. The guy isn't stumbling around drunk. He stands there and takes it and never really resists. In fact, one cop pulls his arm back when the the baton hitting starts.

Gotta side with the dude. The cops and usher were buttheads.

This.

It's not like the guy randomly strolls up to the usher and hits him. The usher instigated the contact. Just because he's a big shot usher doesn't mean he gets to doll out physical punishment.

The usher did not instigate the contact. He was trying to keep the guy that was trying to high five him away. He was doing his job...clearing the scene. Then the guy takes a shot / shoves him. He then gets tazed because he goes toward the usher in an aggressive manner. If he does not get tazed or subdued he would have attacked the usher...that seems fairly clear to me.

Yeah, I see it the same way.

He pushed the usher for being a jerk when he stopped the high five and then walked away from the usher. You interpret that as "would have attacked the usher"?

The dude almost clocks the usher when the usher jumps in his way and hits his hand, so yea....the usher instigated the contact with him. If the usher minded his own business during what looks like a very orderly exit, then this incident doesn't happen.

The usher didn't instigate the initial contact, he was attempting to stop the high five. However, after the first shove he does assume a "come at me bro" stance which causes the dude that was being escorted out to turn around. This resulted in the taser.
