Good news for the women's bball team.

Being a regular NCAA participant is reasonable if Hoover can bring in top 50-100 talent on a regular basis.

The ceiling? Why can't we make a run to the final four?

All it takes to be elite in women's bball is some money. And, as in most non-revs with full scholarships, Wakes revenue sport structural disadvantages (academics, size, etc) are likely actually advantages. And there are only two blue bloods out there.

Who do you consider the blue bloods? Obviously UCONN. who else?

Right now: UConn, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Stanford, Duke, UNC - maybe even Maryland.

The rest aren't on the same level historically as UConn and Tennessee.

The formula for Wake women's hoops is pretty simple. Get a good coach. Do more with fewer resources. Get more resources. Do more with more resources. Jam the Joel. Make the NCAAT. Win championships.

Oh true. I was thinking of teams who have historically gotten great recruits and been dominant. Obviously that list pretty much begins and ends with Uconn and Tennesee if we're looking at consistency for a long period of time.

It's a fine list, no question, but even on that list you've got to separate out UConn and Tennessee. The other schools are closer to La Tech in the 90s than UConn and Tennessee now.
