Forgot you were going to see them; I'm glad we can compare experiences.
I wish the show I saw had been longer too. It was honestly a 55 minute set, but they really played the whole time without stopping at all. they only talked maybe twice: once to comment on this girl in the front screaming "Walking!" by saying that they planned to play the same exact setlist as they played the night before at Bowery (lol); once at the end when they said "man brooklyn, you look good."
Also, they started with 3 straight songs from No Color, and then really switched it up a lot between old and new songs from then on, which was awesome. If they had played longer, I would have liked to have heard "Don't Stop" or one of the new ones with Neko Case, but I understand it's hard to do without her. That and more old stuff.
Another thing I noticed was that the third bro they have their looked far too disinterested by comparison. While drummer and guitar/vocals are rocking out, he's pretty much just standing there. Still, all in all, they sounded really great. They're a lot of fun.
