Took me about 25 minutes. Voting sequence was
1)Show ID, and recite your name and address, and pick up a ticket. This was the end of line 1
2)Pick up a paper ballot (line 2)
3)Get in line 3 and fill out the ballot with a pen
4)Pass the ballot through a machine, which gave me a "you vote has counted" message on the monitor.

This seems like a lot of steps, and 25 minutes seems reasonable given those steps. I think it was done this way to give both an electronic and paper record of the votes, although having used a scantron machine during finals week, I have concerns about mechanical failures that could damage these ballots. Does anyone still use a straight up electronic system?

This was the exact method that I used in the primary in NC in March. When I voted last week I showed no ID and voted using an electronic ballot that produced an internal "receipt" of sorts, but didn't print anything for me.
 
You have to show ID in GA- I just showed them my facebook profile pic worked fine
 
I was told that 45 people were turned away this morning in my precinct and this was at 9:00. I didn't ask why but it MAKES YOU WONDER...

Probably because a company can't go to jail
 
Here's an idea. Each county hosts an online site where people can find and fill out their ballot. Voters get a QR code on their phone or that they can print out to take to the polling place. They scan their phone or paper code at the polling place similar to a boarding pass. Before officially voting, they can print out their entire ballot to confirm their votes. If everything is correct, the voter can officially submit the vote.

This allows people to vote online and simply submit it in person.
 
In line at 7:50, voted at 9:10. A couple people tied up their dogs outside the building so everyone got to pet them as they went by. They were good dogs.

You have to show an i.d. to get boarding pass. How long have you hated black people?
