Verbal commitments to Ivy League schools are just like verbals anywhere.

From the Ivy League "Prospective Athlete Information" web page, " Prospective students who have decided on their first choice may apply to one Ivy League school by November 1 in order to receive notice of Early Decision or Early Action in December. Students may also apply under the Regular Decision application process to receive a decision in late March. Under certain circumstances institutions may issue a letter prior to the final admissions decision indicating that a candidate is ďlikelyĒ to be admitted."

LOI equivalent would be the student-athlete replying to the letter of acceptance from the school in December or March and sending in the required pre-enrollment deposit.

We indeed seem to have a lot of slot receiver type guys. Going to be small at CB if they move even if they beef up and fill out.

He's a little taller and thinner than Camp, but has a similar 40 time and vertical leap, so athletically they are comparable. Has Bachman's height/weight with Camp's athleticism.

Todd May was from Pikeville. Josh Shoemaker was from that general area. Coal mine country.

He doesnít look that fast on film but he ran a 4.48. Appears to be a faster Bachman type rather than a slot. We are loaded at slot.

Shoemaker was from Gate City, Va. which is basically Tri-Cities, TN area. Not really coal country, but not really much if anything else either. Only reason itís a town is because of the shipping lanes on the Holsten River and where the railroads came through Big Moccasin Gap.

Dude, sarcasm. White WR compared to white WR joke.

Lots of offers going out in the last two or three weeks. Really getting tired of seeing that ugly blue beat us out for kids

UNC will always recruit better than us, but that wonít necessarily translate to on-field success as evidenced this year. Also, state usually has higher rated classes than us, but weíve beaten them three years in a row. Recruiting absolutely matters and is the lifeblood of a program, but Is not everything.

So we are not expected to land Jackson Hensley? If so, thatís disappointing because he appears to be every bit as good as Gosnell from East Surry. And faster.

If he had played with Jefferson Boaz, based on his Hudl film, he would have likely put up similar numbers as Gosnell. He played at a small school in Pikeville, Ky and played WR, QB, safety and returned punts and kickoffs. Gosnell is two inches taller but not as fast. According to a Les Johns 247 article, he performed well at a WF camp last summer.

Gosnell is taller and heavier, and runs a 4.48 40 just like Hensley.

Gosnell is .8551 on 247 and Hensley is .8499.
