Lilburn left out the '78 season because Mills was fired after the '77 season, but we were 1-10 in '78 also. That's what made the '79, 8-3 season so remarkable. It was preceded by consecutive 1-10 seasons (which happened to be my first two years at Wake). One of the great turnarounds of all time.
