Yes, but even the best teams have one quality player with a bad round in a 3 day tourney. The problem for WF is that the "bad round" from a scholarship player always counts because our #5 can't even limp in with an occasional +4 (and I understand that our #5 is a walk-on that didn't even attend WF expecting to tryout for the golf team; so, it's not on her; it's the circumstances that prevented WF from developing any depth).
 
We're only 3 shots out of 6th but 8 shots out of 5th. We need a good round tomorrow and for Arizona to stumble, or at least not go too low. We have a 4 shot lead on 8th... If our #3 could have shot just a 76 today we would be one shot inside the cut line... Oh well.
 
Jennifer Kupcho is really good at golf

she birdied #1 today giving her 9 birdies (and 10 pars) in her last 19 holes

the rest of the team has 9 birdies (and 21 bogeys, and 4 doubles) in their last 80 holes combined

I gotta think she is feeling a lot of pressure today. Not only is she trying to win the regional, she knows that she has to go low for the team to have any chance of advancing - given our lack of depth...

Looks like there are 4 teams that are locks, and 11 teams out of it. That leaves 3 teams for 2 spots

WF is currently 7th. 3 shots behind Arizona; 5 behind Clemson (Clemson is backing up +3 on the day). Kupcho is -12 and has a 3 shot lead for the individual title.

as it stands right now, Migliaccio would join Kupcho and qualify as an individual

The team is having a very strong day. Unfortunately, they need to have a stronger day. Three back.
 
Arizona has run away from us. Now need a really strong finish and more stumbling from Clemson or, preferably, Washington...

3 - that is no longer a realistic possibility as the UGA player has righted the ship and Migliaccio has cooled off

would be nice if WF could get a few more birdies here and put some pressure on Washington

Looks like there are 5 individuals ahead of Migliaccio - Kupcho, a girl from Tenn., a girl from GA, a girl from Missouri and another GA girl...

correct - which is why it's no longer a realistic possibility...

this morning at one point, there were two individuals ahead of her
