What's the latest on Wolford and the Jets?

Good info. If Bridgewater performs well, there's a good chance he could end up elsewhere. I could see the Panthers taking a shot at him if the current young backups don't workout and they don't want to go back to DA.

Investment banking at Barclays

Because essentially all of the QBs that Grobe had recruited up to Wolford's freshman season in 2014 either transferred and/or sucked (Kevin Sousa, Tyler Cameron) and because Tanner Price played as a true frosh and his eligibility expired in 2013. Clawson was left with Wolford as his only QBing option in 2014, when Wolford was not ready to play and the offense was not suited for any true frosh to lead. Had there been any other possible option, Wolford would be a 5th year this season. That would've been fun with the weapons on this roster.

true; but we probably would not have Newman and perhaps not Hinton had that been the case. however, it worked against John

JW ought to get a real shot. He’s got a great mind for the position and laser focused determination.

I'm pretty sure the guy catching passes was a partner with Barclays. He was giving John a tryout for the corporate team.

Awesome. Whitehead wasn’t so lucky.

He could get significant playing time in the last preseason game Thursday night.

Would be great if it led to a practice squad spot

That is one of three potential scenarios for Wolford after the fourth preseason game.
Practice squad
3rd QB, with either Bridgewater or McCown traded or released
Cut and back at Barclays Monday a week.

John could have an ideal situation.
Work on Wall Street during the week and play for the Jets on the weekend.
If anyone can do it, he can.
