Official 2020 NBA Offseason - First Half Season Schedule Out

Here's your daily reminder that the Clippers traded Shai, Gallo and FIVE 1st rounders (As well as 2 additional pick swaps with the Clippers) for Paul George. Didn't Kawhi come to LA to play for Doc?

Maybe Kawhi realized the difference between Pop, Nurse & Doc. But man if either of those guys walk after next year, OKC is going to be getting some nice draft picks, cause they're gonna be terrible for the next decade.

The Clippers excuse was that this was their first year together. The Lakers basically put together a full roster from scratch and are in the Finals. Heat doing the same in Butler's first year with the squad.

well Stephen A. had a good comment. Remember these guys voted to not play in the bubble to begin with. Lou Williams ended up taking time off , as did Harrell.

That's a good point. A Clips run depended on them being in their top 6th man form and they never quite got there.

Seems Doc Rivers doesn't like to practice hard in efforts for making it through the long season, and between that and Kawhi's load management and PG being a dweeb, these things didn't rub off well on Trez.

Lakers firing on all cylinders on offense. If Rondo/Caruso and Green can give ya 10 pts every half you're in trouble

I've never in my life seen a steal like the one Butler just did to Lebron

So Butler, Bam and Dragic all get hurt in Game 1? Fantastic

Well that was about as disappointing a Game 1 as you could imagine.

The problem is the Lakers also voted that way and they are now in Finals

And Lou, Beverly and Harrell yes all left the bubble at some point and had to quarantine. But other teams like the Nuggets had guys out for part of the bubble or injured and made it work

clips have no excuse

LeBron bought into and embraced the bubble. Other Laker votes didn't really matter.

Official 2019-20 NBA Thread: Heat vs. Lakers in the NBA Finals - Clips Cut Doc

This week had Ravens/Chiefs, Debate, and Finals as much watch TV... all 3 were trash.

Good point. And then we have a trash TNF game so it may be good.

Last night fit what we’ve been saying about the Lakers this whole time. If we get playoff Rondo, it’s going to be hard. If other guys are hitting threes, there’s nothing the Heat can do.

I couldn’t watch much of the 2nd quarter. Did Bam and AD match up? Seemed like the Lakers went big to avoid that.

Dragic and Bam doubtful

what a letdown

Well, LeBron's gonna get his 4th ring. Durability is a underrated skill, and of all LeBron's gifts the fact that he has been able to play essentially 17 seasons, including lengthy post-seasons, without a significant injury interruption given his size and age is truly amazing.

it's definitely amazing had little time LeBron has missed for injuries

but it's still a letdown when you're expecting a competitive series and two of the top three guys on one team go down game 1

Have there been athletes to play at this MVP level at age 35 or older aside from Lebron and Brady? A few baseball players come to mind like Barry Bonds aided by steroids.

Michael Jordan

Karl Malone won it and then turned 36 that summer
