I knew about Wake’s team. A friend of mine dated one of the coaches. I’m surprised App State’s club team isn’t in the same conference. They had a damn good one back in the day.

one link was last year and the other this year. we are in first place with the 3 day tourney hosted by Wake next weekend for $20 all games.
 
Do they ever play the Polar Twins?

Checked out some feeds from last season on youtube. Really cool. Pretty big range in terms of skating ability out there - especially on the other teams I watched. Some of the Wake players were obviously pretty dedicated growing up. Some of the teams they play though are just chalk full of bad skaters. Also checked out the roster. One kid from MN on the team - freshman. Looked up his high school career on a local web site. He played a couple of years of varsity on what is normally one of the best class A (smaller school division) teams in the state (a school that usually can beat many/most of the AA teams in the state). Looks like he was probably a third liner as a senior, so he's a really solid skater but didn't light the lamp all that much. To even play varsity high school hockey in this state is a good accomplishment given the number of kids who play year round and he did it at a school with a solid tradition. Just watching the overall skating levels in the games from last year, I imagine he's getting good run on this team even as a freshman. Probably a solid skater and a grinder type.

I saw a little of the WVa game. Thought for sure we'd lose when they put 2 of our guys in the penalty box at the same time for 2 minutes. Took OT but we pulled it out.
 
State won the other semi last night. Does anyone know what time the finals are today?
 
I see DeacMan posted the link. Interesting schools with teams and quality of teams.

I wouldn’t expect UNCW to have a better team than Navy, Duke, and Richmond.
 
State with four quick goals to start the second. Need to stop the bleeding quick.
