MBB Game 30: Louisville @ LJVM - 7 pm Saturday - ACCN

Well the over/under went well over. 143 projected,176 actual.

It was good to see Jake that aggressive again. Good things happen when he is.

Walton and Laravia each separately out scored the entire Louisville starting lineup.

Louisville’s bench scored 59 of their 77 points. That’s nuts.

Really think Pegues was playing everyone to try and give kids a reason to stay. They played 12 guys in first half and starters with the least mins. Williams played 3, Withers 6 and Ellis 11 as starters. The towel was waving.

Great crowd tonight. Lower totally packed, couple hundred up and over 1k students. Come on folks, these guys deserve your presence Wed @9

Can we stop killing people for things they say in the heat of the moment during emotional games? We’re not all Miss Cleo with the crystal ball. I’d like to be able to vent here in the heat of the moment:

So long as your grammar is good anything goes

After watching the press conference with Dallas, that dude is really easy to root for.

Hildreth is the man. Dude plays HARD. Once he figures out how to defend for 25+ minutes without fouling, he will be a big time asset. Marsh needs quicker feet, but I like him and expect good things. No opinion on Rob or Lucas...Not a big enough sample size. Mucius is such a leader and glue guy, and was a huge loss last week @ Clem.

If this team sneaks into the tourney they'll be a tough out for anyone. Beat State and 1 team in ACCT and we are for sure in.

Cam's mom was at the game tonight.

Marsh still learning how to hedge the pick 'n' roll and then beat the ball to the rim. He's a solid rim protector.

The 13 weeks he missed last summer an early fall really have him behind. Hopefully he gets a full off-season of oractice upcoming.

Deacons brought the game that they needed. Good second half defense and offense for the first 14 minutes allowed the Deacs to outscore the Cards 42-18 to extend the lead to 86-54. The Cards were 6-20 from the field during those 14 minutes.

Walton had the best offensive game in his career with 22 points. Jake used the free throw line to lead the team with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Mucius (12), Williamson (15) and Williams (11) all in double figures.

Cam Hildreth had a good 17 minutes as the first man off the bench for the second straight game. Cam had only played 26 minutes in the nine games previous to Clemson as a result of the Monsanto arrival. He had 6 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 5 turnovers but never hung his head. Since returning to the rotation he has played 35 minutes, scored 14 points, gathered 4 boards and dealt 3 assists without a turnover. A consistent high effort defender. Mathew Marsh was solid in 12 minutes of relief at the 5. He has 10 points and 5 rebounds in 23 minutes since Sy's injury. Their contributions are critical with Khadim unable to play.

Walton is like a Tony Woods-David Weaver mashup
Yeah... He's been as frustrating as any player this year with his inconsistency, but the potential he's flashed, and demonstrated tonight, is why he's on the floor. And why it's frustrating to see him flounder against teams like Clemson.

Big fan of Uncle Walt.

And his presser was gold. Guy is as likeable as they come.

Walton’s 3pt% jumped from .302 to .361 today. He’s shot 11-15 from deep in February. He was 6-32 entering the month.

love my mentally weak deacs

Well, Walton said they haven't put together good games lately. Said they've have to come from behind a lot in the second half.

Forbes said there was some fire and brimstone in the half time locker room.

We played 3/4's of a game tonight, which is an improvement from the 1/2 and 1/4 we've been trying to play since UNC and BC.

Great win, but 1 game is not a trend, back it up and spank State on Wednesday.

Agree on Hildreth. He got beat a couple of times on D and had one really dumb foul, but overall, a definite positive.

And he looks to be pretty strong too.
