Listed Attendance for Furman- 6,782

I guessed about 6k looking around. Not as bad as it has been in the past. Still high, but not horribly off.

Hey, I took a picture before the game and there were not a lot of people there. It did feel in a a fair amount downstairs by the 10 minute mark. I really do think it was at least around 5700-6000. 6,700 is definitely stretching in.

There's no more meaningless statistic in sports than attendance figures. Just look at the Red Sox "sellout streak" for a prime example.

There are 8,013 seats in the lower level of the Joel. Obviously there are very few people upstairs. So that would imply that the lower level should be almost packed. Did the lower level looked packed to anyone?

There were about 800-1000 people upstairs. I don't think it's a stretch to say there were 5k downstairs? Am I way off base here?

Meh. Ron is used to seeing it way worse than that in December. Particularly a Tuesday in December. We're lucky anyone showed up at all.

FTR, Ron didn't get to his seat until the 13 minute mark in the first half. Not sure where he was.

No. I was sitting about 5 rows back in the corner behind the Wake bench. Anyone upstairs could easily find a seat in the lower bowl. I'd put it at around 5,000.

You were at the game but 800 to 1000 people upstairs? According to Wikipedia there are only 6,500 seats upstairs. You look at those pictures and tell me if you honestly think one out of every six or seven seats upstairs is filled?

I don't think your way offbase, just overestimating.

6k or 5 k, though, not much difference in the grand scheme of things.

I'm not trying to inflate attendance numbers or anything. I think I'm just horrible at determining numbers.

I do think we had over 5k there. My primary point was that this inflation wasn't as bad as it has been in the past.

Most likely taking care of the big donors and making sure they're still on his side. No doubt having laughs at our expense.
