CT86. THE BOARDS ARE BACK IN TOWN

I thought Bob's trivia was a major CT hangout. I was there last night and only saw TuffaloFianceDeac.

Some of the former Bob's regulars have class now on Wednesday nights. Also there has been some change in ownership and we're waiting to hear what happened before returning.

I think the "stigma" has less to do with being obese as it does with the choices you've made to get there. I've never been at the gym and seen an obese woman and thought, "How disgusting" but I have thought, "Man he/she is huge. Good for them for making an effort."

I'm not a small dude and could definitely stand to drop some weight, but I also couldn't tell you the last time I had fast food or pizza.

On the other hand my girlfriends sister and her sisters boyfriend are huge and make no effort to be healthy. That disgusts me, watching them eat multiple fast food meals a day and piling mashed potatoes and gravy and fried chicken on their dinner plate. I think, "How could you do this to yourself? What is wrong with you?"

i definitely notice eye color, and J's turn color depending on clothing. blue or green or hazel. it's crazy.

regarding obesity; i'm not repulsed by obesity. i am saddened by people's lack personal responsibility. it's one thing to be technically overweight and healthy (two things i think can coexist). it's a completely different thing to be 400lbs and tucking in to devour an entire pizza.
like ITK said, i think skinny people can make equally bad decisions. you can be skinny by eating nothing but cotton candy and pretzels, but that doesn't mean you're healthy.

People perceive colors based on the light that bounces off objects, and some of that light - for instance, the red light from a red jacket - is going to be reflected in the eyes, said Dr. Norman Saffra, the chairman of the ophthalmology department at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn.

In a person with black or brown eyes, the reflected color is hard to notice. But in a person whose eyes are lighter - particularly hazel or blue - light hitting the colored part of the eye, called the iris, creates an illusion that the eye has shifted colors.

Clothing can have this effect, Dr. Saffra explained, but so can a different pair of glasses or even a new hair color.

"Anything that is physically closer to the eyes can do it," he said.

This phenomenon also stems from other sources.

For example, any emotion that dilates the pupil, which determines how much light reaches the back of the eye, can make a person's iris appear to change color.

THE BOTTOM LINE Eye color can be affected by clothing as well as mood.

I see. From what I understand, basically Robert tried to take over everything from the other two partners (his Brother and Dad). When things didn't go his way, Robert shut down the Facebook page deleted all the files and left (i.e. took his ball and went home).

So has the notification indicator in the top right of the screen always shown when someone gets rep? If it has, I just noticed it for the first time today.

I can get some if it is important.

I've always liked the front-clasp simply because it's like opening a present.

I wouldn't go out of your way, since upon meeting El Chupe, your bra won't be on very long.

this is my theory on buying lingerie in a nutshell. #thingsishouldntsharewiththect #toolate

Quoting dash before she comes to her senses, but, yes, front clasps are hot.

I feel like this is a Nicholas Sparks novel.

I've never read a Nicholas Sparks novel, but do they typically end with one character flying across country to visit/live with the other character in his bungalow where they will make filthy sex for years and years?

What are fellow Chat Threaders' thoughts on this article?

I already know there are a few who will scoff, or deride....but I'd be interested in honest thoughts

What do they want us to do? Pretend that it's cool to be fat? No one is born predisposed to being 150 lbs overweight. A 50" waist isn't a historically normal human shape. In the history of humanity it's probably three standard deviations from the norm, maybe more.

One of them liquidates her state retirement account since she doesn't believe its solvent anyway and they travel the world for a year. The ChatThread takes care of her cats.

The funny thing is, we keep getting fatter as a country and there are more and more ways to work out. Of course, for many people, simply walking more would help them lose weight.

I didn't know Bob's had a change of ownership. That helps to clear up confusion on my end about this week's kickball communications, though. Are they still going to sponsor spring kickball?
