Don't bite my head off but I honestly don't think so. Call me crazy but when I look at size, shooting ability, speed,effort, and athleticism, I honestly think that if you had a serious coach in here this past year, we were a shoe in for 19 wins and the NIT no joke. When I see Bzz, all i see is 6 minutes of reckless turnovers, no direction on offense, and ill advised shots. I've seen it for 3 straight years with completely different players each year: that is all coaching. I have no idea how great these guys could be with a real coach.
 
So if we had hired Beilein instead of Skip in 2001, where would we be now?

That feeling I got in Jacksonville in 2006, yeah I'd get that feeling again. And it was amazing.

I'd also take out a second mortgage if I had to so I'd be able to go.

... and 19 wins with an NIT bid is still light years away from the talent/skills of these two teams.


We're so far away it hurts - and worse off, we're going in reverse.

19 wins and an NIT berth vs. playing for a national championship is a HUGE difference.

Sometimes I wish I went to a bigger school like Michigan so I could actually experience these types of nights a few times in my life. Oh, the feelings of being a Wake fan.
 
We were a 4 seed like Michigan 4 years ago. It's doesn't take long to build that, just have to get hot at the right time.

And not have [Redacted] as your coach.
 
The last Wake dream I had was a nightmare last summer. I dreamed that we were playing Duke in football in a high school stadium and for some reason I kept walking to the game and couldn't get there until the second half. We lost the game. I woke up worried and nervous then I laughed it off because there was no way we'd lose to Duke.

True. That did take a foundation class and then two classes with 3 NBA players (maybe 4 if Woods finds his way there).

(Just thought that if Woods makes the NBA, we can say that we lost to Cleveland State with 5 NBA players. Sigh.)

I can admit that I lack the maturity to handle this scenario, especially in light of what we've recently suffered. Allot of beers, allot of tears, some unwarranted touching and hugging with girls in the crowd, court dates are made, subpoenas ignored, and the vicious circle has begun.

This was my fantasy. A video is leaked of BZZ spitting on Cav 2 weeks before the ACC tourney. When he is asked about it, he loses it in a profanity laced tirade, goes on an anti Semitic tirade for some reason, jumps over the podium at Dan, but pathetically falls on the floor and snaps his arm. He is in tears. Wellman has no play but to put him on probation, leaving Chill, Battle and Rusty to coach the team by committee. Low and behold they win the ACC tourney.... Then, as a lowly 9 seed without a coach, but more together then ever, they go on to play the highly touted Calipari team from Kentucky. They win on a late CJ Harris jumper, Ish style. The End
