BBall Recruiting Megathread 3.0 - The Manning era begins: The Harry Giles Chronicles

I'm guessing Haas ended the O'Mara and Brennan recruitments. With Devin, Washington, Green (?) and Haas, you don't need anyone else who isn't able to work outside the paint. I do think Clark is versatile enough that he could still be useful, but I have no idea if we are still recruiting him.
 
I know somebody in Clayton who doesn't think Clark is considering Wake. Cincy, Clemson, and Miami is what he heard.

Yeah not so much. The addition of Haas was what I thought would tip the MFD scales in our favor. But I literally have no idea why I would reasonably have any optimism about the WFU sports landscape.

SG has to be the priority. I'm of the opinion that we wait to use that scholarship until 2015 and try to survive in 2014 with CMM, Overton and even Rountree playing the 2.

The problem with this is Staak and Caldwell didn't coach at the same time at Wake.

haha. He's a bigass stretch 4. He's a stretch 4 only because he has such a low motor that if there is a body or two between him and the basket he is happy to linger outside - he might as well run around the court with a Big Gulp in one hand.
 
Aren't mean streaks to be avoided in our new culture?

Losing streaks are what we are known for.

I have no illusions that Bzd is a nail em down recruiter. However, the last handful of gets are due to the core guys (read: current sophs) ability to sell their camaraderie. I don't think MFD would have put us over the top, frankly. I'd prefer another Coron Williams type transfer and start over for 2015.

That's it! Ron and Buzz have successfully replaced Dino's two-and-done players with NBA talent with a culture of one-and-dones with questionable talent. Rent- a-player, no matter how you look at it. Wellman and his minions call it our values and culture but no one is fooled.
 
According to Evan Daniels, Gary Clark is announcing his college decision at 11:30 today. I guess the person who told me he was going to wait is incorrect. I don't know if this is a good sign for Wake because we didn't get MFD and we're getting Gary Clark or if he is joining Quadri Moore at Cincy or some other option.

Officially committed to Cincy. Strickland, you can update the misses section when you get a chance. I know that's been a long long list to keep up with.
