That's the deal, and I can't say I blame Lobo, but I've heard it from enough "insiders" and media peeps that it is worth posting. Price, evidently, just doesn't make good decisions wth the ball, so that's why we see the draw on 3rd and long.

It is also possible that this info isn't worth a post, and WGAF anyway. In which case, I'm sorry I'm not sorry. YOLO #vodkasam

Before the final drive yesterday on 3rd and 5+ we passed on 7/8 times. The one run was a QB draw that went for 12 yards and a first down.

Against UL-M we passed on all 11 3rd and 5+ situations.

A lot of it is Price's fault. He locks into one receiver and doesn't go through his progressions, he admitted it in the post game yesterday. Now granted a lot of times he doesn't have time to look at all of his receivers because of poor protection, but doesn't make good decisions. Lobo being a terrible play caller is a given as well.

Lobo has sucked a lot longer than Price has been our QB.

They may not trust Price. On 3rd and long they have no choice.

Does the staff not see it as their responsibility to develop players? Price had a pretty strong sophomore season with 3017 yards passing, 60% comp, 20 TDs and 6 INTs and appears to have regressed since.

Love when I wake up and see that I posted, but yeah, their distrust of Price, reasonable or not, doesn't alter my opinion that Lobo needs to go and that Price hasn't developed under this staff's guidance.

Did I hear right in the broadcast yesterday - that on every play, lobo call a run play and elrod call a pass play, then grobe decides which one we run? If so, time to put the responsibility on grobe, where it ultimately belongs.

I remember when Tanner locked onto his first receiver back in 2011 (ya know, the only year he has had a decent supporting cast) and he completed 83 passes to Givens, 73 to Camp, 36 to Dembry, and 20 to Terrance Davis.

Tanner is just fine when surrounded by talent. Simple as that. Surround him with an O line that sucks and all you get is a 55% completion percentage and a 5-2 TD-INT ratio.

Good points. Our WR talent has gone downhill.

It's shocking to me how few people seem to understand this. No offensive line = poor offense. Period. As our o-line has gotten progressively worse, so has Tanner's play (as has our ground game). Football is pretty simple: hold your own on the line and you have a chance to win.

I think everyone realizes that, but Tanner had time throw yesterday and still locks onto one receiver too often. Agree it all starts up front though.

Everybody knows Camp is the man. Price, the defense, the fans. Locking on is forgivable in this situation.

Yeah but it's not just Camp. He forced at least two throws to Reynolds yesterday and had Camp open. I sometimes he makes his decision before the ball is even snapped. Probably figures he isn't going to have time to think, so he decides where he's going with the ball.
