Biden's old butt buddy

The man is a national treasure
 
I'm amazed at the lack of hand-wringing "one heartbeat away from the presidency" for Biden compared to previous veeps.
 
Why? Even with his butt buddy comments, could he do a worse job? So we trade [Redacted] for Dave Bliss, whoopdeedo.
 
Biden's a smart guy. He just makes gaffes.

he was a decent senator though, no? more substance than obama, for sure.
 
He's got terrible ideas, but he would be a fine steward for the country.
 
I mean, he is the VP. He has basically been invisible for the past 6 years. He's said a few dumb things now and again (like pretty much every politician out there these days) but its not like he has caused international incidents or been a drag on the President.

I wouldn't vote for that guy in a democratic primary in 2016, but I think the fact I can't recall him doing almost anything as a VP means he probably did a good job.
 
How is that George Bush is seen as an idiot but Biden is a "smart guy". Other than the letter after their name they are basically the same guy (except W has far greater intellectual credentials).
