The Spanish radio call of Cam's Superman TD:

I never understood why people criticized drafting a LB with first pick. Sure it was out strongest position, also easily would have been our weakest with an injury or two. Anyway we can strengthen the depth at LB with more beasts is fine by me... Lukes injury is a perfect example.. The rest of the D falls apart if we don't have some quality depth at lb. D line is more resilient to backups, LB corp is the heart of the D

Luke's backup was already on the roster and was a late round pick.

You don't draft for depth in the first round. I'm happy with the pick overall because Shaq should get more and more snaps in a 3-4.

And Thomas Davis is 32 years old and on a two year contract extension.

Sean Payton says there is a "real good chance" that Brees plays on Sunday. Who would we rather face--Brees throwing flutter balls with his compromised rotator cuff, or a healthy Luke McCown?

Blake Bortles, Ryan Mallett, the Saints situation this week, Famous Jameis next week. Tough stretch for you guys.

Kidding, Pats face Tyrod Taylor, Bortles, and Weeden in 3 of their first 4 games. Moral of the story is there are a lot of bad QBs in the NFL right now, even more so with the injuries to Brees and Romo.

Yep. And that's part of the reason for what seems like an NFL malaise.

Ill fully admit that this is a refreshing start to the season, nice easy first couple games

i wonder if part of that is what games are shown to most of the country. Bortles led Jax to a decent win against Miami last week and Derek Carr lit up the Ravens but no one really saw it cause everyone got the crapfest that was Philly-Dallas

Definitely a big drop in the top tier QB's to the middle tier but there's some flashes of good play out there, IMO

Yikes. Is 1 game's losing margin really worth risking all of his trade value?

That's a good point. I enjoyed watching the other two games.

Hoping missing three years of at least game wear and tear will keep him around a while longer than it normally would. The signs certainly point to that thus far in his career

Because you just paid your #1 pick who already has had more than his share of injuries in his young career, and your offensive line is a [Redacted] level dumpster fire. Locking up Cam was a no brainer, and so was drafting a OL in the first or second round.

Also why locking up Cam long term was a no brainier.

Our OL isn't great, but dumpster fire is a massive overstatement. It's serviceable, has its good weeks (last week) and bad (Jax)

DJ Humphrey was the pick and he went one spot ahead of us. No other tackles worth that spot. Interior of the line has JJ Watt pancakers.

and bruce arians has been shitting on DJ all preseason

maybe it's a motivational tactic, but i don't know that DJ would be better than oher right now
