The nation's No. 1 recruit Harry Giles has transferred from Oak Hill (VA) to Forest Trail Academy in Kernersville, per coach Tony Taylor

Apparently people in who live in Kernersville have never heard of this school. I looked on their website and can't even tell if this is an online high school or what, but came across this gem on the school's admissions page:

Application Procedures
Forest Trail Academy will be excepting student athletes who demonstrate the proper attitude towards athletics, academic and personal growth.

Omg I hope he doesn't qualify now. He can go on to a great NBA career for all I care. Just want his brief stay in Durham to suuuuuuck.

He's gonna stay home and get state of the art physical therapy for that knee from THE Wake Forest University.

You have to wonder. Going to a school which seems sketchy (based on the fact that nobody has heard of it and the above mistake on their webpage) seems like (another) bad decision. Is the NCAA going to ok these classes?

Ha, what's not to understand? They accept all students except for student-athletes with good attitudes. Guess he's really not paying next year after all.

Any comments yet from the Dukies on this?

If there's one person who would know about Kernersville, it's KVegas.

The long and winding road
That leads to your door
Will never disappear
I've seen that road before
It always leads me here
Lead me to you door

The website indicates it's an online-only school. Looks awful. Things have not gone right for Harry. Instead of spending your senior year playing ball and enjoying your last year of high school, you're now home schooling and not playing any ball. He'll have to rehab at some point, what gym will he go to?

I take this back. The "Sports" section of their site says, "Forest Trail Academy has reached an agreement to merge with Thomasville Preparatory Academy and founder Delaney Rudd effective immediately.
The merger will benefit student athletes with spectacular furnished housing sitting on over 30 acres of land, a state of the art fitness center, additional sports offerings, and a quality education that is necessary to assist student-athletes in their quest to obtain SCHOLARSHIPS."

This gets even weirder. When you go to Thomasville Prep Academy's website, it lists that it is called Forest Trail Academy and that it is designed for post-high school grads looking to improve their basketball game.

Well, one thing that's clear is that the academics are legit. For example, check out their aptly-named "Academics" page.

Wow, that Forest Trails Academy (I mean, Thomasville Prep) web page looks like it was designed and written by a middle schooler. Also, it's based in Florida? I guess since it's online, it doesn't matter.

Then again, this reviewer was pleased:
The school is a fantastic choice for gaining the education. It is affordable and the interaction between the student and teacher are awful. Our teachers helped me allot in gaining the knowledge in the subjects which I was struggling with, they used to respond to my question within 24 hours with a reply and they even answered to my queries on phone calls. Everything is explained step-by-step and in an understandable manner. This improved my scores in the subjects and got back my lost credits. I found the school and the staff is really fantastic, who help their children in every aspect. I hope you have a wonderful experience as we experienced.

And they're diverse!
"Players come to us from all over the world. Denmark, Africa, Russia, Lithuania, Croatia, France, Finland, Australia. So we understand diversity, and we embrace the opportunity to learn from different cultures."

One of these things is not like the other ones...

Seriously, Harry?
