Unfortunate way to go out, if ball doesn't hit our dude's head doubt it goes in.

We had all the mo then the break for OT happened and seemed to stunt that. Ghana 2 US 1 2010 all over again

Some of that was tournament soccer and playing other top teams. But I agree, after gamble went down we were not nearly as dynamic.
 
Great season. Really proud of this team. Sucks to lose, but these guys overachieved.

I'll take "next year" over "never gonna happen" any day.

Absolutely. Wake started the season unranked and worked their way up to #1 in the country and the elite 8 with a first year coach. Wake led the country in attendance. Complaining about Wake soccer makes no sense at all.
 
Stanford's tactic to only get forward with 4 guys was interesting to watch after they took the early lead. Even at 1-1 they didn't want to get guys forward except on set pieces.
 
I can only dream about Elite 8 appearances again in other sports.

Ridiculous to hear anyone suggest this team disappointed.
