CMM comes through again: inbounds pass and airball

I saw zero screens on that inbounds KVegas. All we had to do was get the ball inbounds and we couldn't even do that.

You are an idiot. Codi was 6 of 10 from the field, had 9 assists to 4 turnovers and was 5 of 6 from the line. If anything, he shouldn't have even been taking the ball out of bounds but should have been the first option to receive the inbounds. 18 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds.

He had a decent game, for once. He's still anti-clutch.

Dino and [Redacted] had inbounds plays.

[Redacted] called TO's and actually tried to win games...it didn't work, but there was effort.

This is ridiculous.

Yea the current head man has no clue how to extend the game when losing down the stretch.

There weren't any: Dinos sprinted around the stack and down the court for a hail mary (in retrospect, the best option), crab trapped himself on the sideline, wilbekin didn't move at all, DT drifted toward the baseline and started trying to juke or something.

Well, the bottom line is we could have won the game going away if we could shoot 50% from the foul line. Free uncontested shots from 15 feet and we miss something like 18!

Hire George Lehmann to come for a week-end and teach these guys how to shoot free throws. Unbelievable.

Codi had an OK second half, at least after the awful turnover early on. He's not the reason we lost-it was a total team effort. The worst part is that I can't name anyone else on the team who should be inbounding there-maybe Devin? He can pass sometimes, and at least he's tall enough to heave it downcourt if need be.

Seriously, can't blame it all on DM but the 10 seconds inbound play should have been handled differently. I think the foul at the end was pretty bogus.

The biggest 'WTF' moment from tonight for me was the play out of the timeout for a lob to CMM off a weak screen with two Pitt defenders at the rim. We are damn lucky that he caught that and tapped it out and that Dinos recovered and hit a contested three. If that's the best we can draw up, count me out. Really disappointed with DM's in game coaching abilities looking back on this year. We've shown flashes, but I think that's more individual talents starting to come together than offensive/defensive game planning and actual coaching with games on the line. Fuck it. Go Deacs or whatever

So it looks like we had a game. I bet we didn't win. Things are much easier this way.

Exactly - the game was lost in a few places, but to shoot 50% from the line is unacceptable. But we don't have the coaching to make up for the talent deficiencies. Unfortunately at Wake, a coach usually has coach up the talent to win and we don't have that level of coaching. I don't believe that any one of our coaches over the past 25 years would lead this team to only 1 ACC win. I have seen really bad teams where we pull med students out of the student body to play center, that have similar results. The current year freshman give me hope that DM can recruit better than he coaches, but I have my doubts.

Historically bad season without the historically bad roster.

Idiot? CMM screwed up the inbounds pass with 10 seconds left by failing to ball timeout or pass away from the Pitt Goal. Then he shot an airball on a 3 pointer which could have tied the game

He had plenty of help screwing up the inbounds play from his coach to his teammates. He did make the previous basket that got us within 3. We win this one easily if CMM's teammates make a few FTs like he did.

Manning needs to learn some of the coaching fundamentals. He's new as a head coach and it shows. I'm not enamored with his stubbornness but I'm convinced he will excel. Having said that, even shooting a bad FT% like 52% would have won us this game. This 3 man class are all as good or better than anyone Bz ever recruited and he makes the point of getting shooters and guys with length, the lack of which are costing us game after game.
It's time to kill the talk of Manning and [Redacted] being remotely comparable. Manning's upside is 10 times [Redacted]'s.
