WF Tennis (WS Open Starts Saturday)

On the 6th match point, he finally did it. Gets the win for Wake. Wow. 7-5. Can't get any closer.

I believe that was also the first match point where Bogo wasn't serving.
 
Let's retire the "so Wake Forest" thing, at least in regards to this team. Two years ago we had multiple matches where we blew match points to be top 10 teams and lost. Now we bounced back and beat #1, for the first time ever.
 
Lost the doubles point and five out of six first sets in singles. What a rally.
 
Romo picks us up when we need it. Skander loses twice and we beat the top-ranked team in their house anyway. Great win Deacs!
 
damn, reading this thread got me all excited. wake sports doesn't do that very often anymore! go deacs!

Interestingly on the UNC twitter (much better than ours), Murray UNC - Cheater) attempted to cheat Seraphim (Wake) on last point of second set. The call was reversed giving the Deacon the second set, and eventually propelling Serpahim to the win. Good thing their were UMPS in the Chair!

5 and 6 almost never lose and to see Romo get back to close to pre-injury form is really exciting. Just a great win.

Now someone needs to convince Wake to move football game up to noon next Saturday. (or move tennis to noon).
 
So this the best win in school history? We should beat Duke and Louisville which will leave at UVa for the conference regular season title. This should solidify our top 5 status I would guess?

There are umps in the chair for every ACC match

We should be top 5 next week but it's not 100% guaranteed. There was a really big gap between us and #5 this week that we have to make up.
