from Wikipedia: "A spice is a seed, fruit, root, bark, berry, bud or other vegetable substance primarily used for flavoring, coloring or preserving food."

if you all don't consider garlic powder a spice, then i fuckin' quit
 
Since sugar was in the question, I basically interpreted it as 'name the most used cooking ingredient besides salt, pepper, and sugar'.

Garlic definitely beats cinnamon in that scenario. But I read too much into it.

Also, all the pre-game talking about that question was suspect.

I didn't read the thread other than the questions until after I submitted, but I'm glad because after I read over it I thought garlic would win (after salt discussion)

Top 32 seed. I get a number by name at Wimbledon, I'll take it.
 
Cinnamon didn't cross mine. I don't think of spices in baking/sweet terms, really only savory. I know it is a spice, I just don't think of it that way
 
The slim v stonz second round match should be a good one assuming seed holds.
