Duke Game Review / Delaware Game Week Thread

Clawson talked a bit about Delaware's rushing attack against UNC last year in a 41-14 loss. Jefferson had over 100 and another RB had close to 100.

Well unc doesn't have much of a run defense.

Anyone have two tickets to the game that they are willing to part with? Seeing if I can avoid the walk around looking for a scalper routine.

yea stubhub has 6 dollar tix or you can just get one at will call for 10 bucks in general admission. Then pretty much sit wherever the hell you wish.

A reason to keep winning. The last batch of bowls featuring Detroit, Shreveport and an outdoor game in Annapolis wouldn't be a tremendous award for our players.

Although we'll probably get stuck there regardless

Keep winning and make them have no other choice but to send you guys to Miami again.

Is anyone else worried about the game Saturday? Or is that just me being LOWF?

Yep, I'm concerned too. Delaware is a good FCS program, I know they've been down a few years, but they are a good FCS program. We can't afford a letdown, we need to go out and take care of business.

not at all. I'm extremely worried. I still am skeptical with regards to our offensive scheme. That Duke win seemed a little...dare I say...fluky. I would just like a one point win.

Wake 21
Deleware 20

I view it this way: Delaware is about a touchdown worse than Tulane. While the Tulane game was close, we still won that one and this was with a waffling offensive scheme without a solid commitment to one quarterback in a game where our offense dropped half the passes that were shots down field (and failed to complete another four - but the four I'm counting were just straight up drops). While a 7-3 win over Tulane doesn't necessarily assuage any fears, we played about as poorly as I could have conceived and we still won the game. Delaware is worse than Tulane and we looked considerably better last week with Hinton. A loss is certainly possible but we will win this one 95 out of 100 times. Just need to make sure this isn't one of the 5% chances.

Wasn't it you that said Duke was going to throttle us and I quoted you saying no way? If it was someone else, my apologies.

I'm going to say no way to 21-20 also. I'm thinking more of a 31-13 good guys. 3-0 going to Indiana

90-95% chance to win for the Deacs.

Wake opened at -22.5 (think it got bet down to 19-20 relatively quickly), with an over/under of 34.5, which is comical in and of itself.

Basically the oddsmakers and statistical sites think we will win 27/28-7.

Much more concerned about Army than Delaware; the Black Knights are looking to be bowl-bound this year and I'm sure we're circled in their schedule as a crucial W.

This. They looked solid against Temple. This will(should) be the first time in a long time that these two teams have squared off in a meaningful game.

If you can get Wake laying 20 or more at home, taking the dog has to be one of the surest things in sports. 80% or more I would think over the years.

nope. I didn't make a prediction for the duke game. I just think we are gonna struggle for some reason with Delaware. 3-0 will be a awesome though
