Trump Will Win the Nomination

I don't know if the Clinton campaign started it, but you've got the former bureau chief for McClatchy's Washington bureau saying Sidney Blumenthal contacted him, telling him Obama was a Kenyan, and wanting him to do a story about it and you have Clinton's former campaign manager admitting that someone who worked for the campaign was involved with spreading the rumors in 2007. Finally, there's this:
http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2008/08/penn-strategy-memo-march-19-2008/37952/
Penn proposed targeting Obama's "lack of American roots."

The Clinton campaign was also responsible for spreading around the pic of Obama dressed in Somali garb- again in an attempt to question his roots. The fact you people refuse to acknowledge the central role played by the Clintonistas in the birther nonsense is telling. Most of you try to claim you're not really Clinton supporters, yet you're willing to look like complete idiots, divorced from reality, in an effort to defend her.

You have fallen hook line and sinker for Trumps bullshit here. Anything that the Clintonistas did to question Obama's familial origins (which was very little) pales in comparison to Trumps 6 year charade on the imaginary issue. Trump trumped up any involevment that Clinton had to try and distract you from the reality that what he did was faaaaaaaar worse than anything she did. Sorry BSF but you're being duped and now your shilling his bullshit.

Did Trump even send anybody to Hawaii to research birther claims?

WaPo story calling out Trump's claim as false is in first page of GSO paper. Wonder how many other locals nationwide are running that story or one very similar.

if anyone with access to those tax returns has any kind of conscience, they ought to leak them and take the next flight to Russia to join Snowden. Oh wait, Russia likes Trump. Next flight to Mexico.

Trump derangement syndrome is strong in this one.

RIP once reasonable poster.

You are in denial about how instrumental the Clintonistas were in spreading the birther stuff long before Trump got involved. Still respect your love birds and the environment though.

Have you seen the latest from close Clinton confidante David Brock? His Correct the Record superpac is offering money for dirt on Trump. Now that they're feeling desperate the true face of the Clintons rears it's ugly head- just like they did with Obama.
David Brock Offers Money for New Dirt on Donald Trump
“TrumpLeaks is an effort to uncover unreported video or audio of Donald Trump so voters can have access to the Donald Trump who existed before running for president and before his recent affinity for teleprompters,” the website says of the project. “TrumpLeaks can provide some compensation to those who have usable, undoctored video or audio that has been legally obtained or is legally accessible.”

NBC News noted that the project is “highly unusual” and seems to “cross a new line” in modern day politics.

The Clintons are just the worst. Total scum.

Remember when Trump argued the same thing about Hillary's private server, and the Left lost its goosefeathers? Good times.

knowell is right. Obama beat Ebola, but he's got nothing on TDS.

This is as good as it is going to get for BSF4L. I suspect he will be clinging to random polls quite often over the next 50 days until the reality sets in on election night.

So you believe there was legitimate reason to believe Obama was born in Kenya even after he produced his long form birth certificate?

Otherwise, you are agreeing with everybody but BSF. Hillary's people investigated and found there was nothing to it. Conservatives ran with conspiracy theories well after the issue was settled in order to delegitimize Obama.

Then what on earth does this mean?

"Once Obama produced his long form birth certificate from Hawaii, I can understand how people would think continuing to believe Obama was born in Kenya has racist underpinnings (although I disagree)"

What other "underpinnings" would justify such an absurd belief?

The only reason donkeys are running from Hillary's role in birtherism is that they have convinced themselves that birtherism was racist. At the start anyway, it wasn't. It was a legitimate question about a candidate's qualifications; a candidate, I might add, who had promoted himself as being born in Kenya earlier in his life. Once Obama produced his long form birth certificate from Hawaii, I can understand how people would think continuing to believe Obama was born in Kenya has racist underpinnings (although I disagree), but, in any event, that was not the case in 2008 when Hillary was campaigning against him. So from my perspective, although I don't doubt that Hillary's campaign wanted to use the issue in 2008, I also don't really view that as a criticism. Of course she did; disqualifying your opponent is a viable way to win.

Dems don't have to run from because they didn't do it. Hillary had nothing to do with birtherism and only loons think she did.

The contortions that certain people will go through to state that nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is racist is something to behold. Just remember, when it comes to racism, #pubswillalwaysdefend.

I am not in denial. Clinton engaged in some dirty political shit 8 years ago, but then she dropped it when the sketchy tactics proved false/didn't work.

The issue for me is two fold. Contiuning to believe something in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, and a probably racist rooted obsession with the first black president's birth place. People who continue to believe something despite strong, let alone overwhelming, evidence against their belief are troublesome, especially in positions of leadership. racism in our leadership, if true, is a real problem too.

It's about asking a black man for his papers. no other POTUS has ever been asked for such things. And it continues until today. In 2007, he put out his birth certificate, but it wasn't good enough. He put out a full form in 2011, it wasn't good enough.

It's about questioning his qualifications for Harvard Law and being editor of the law review. By the way at Harvard, there are no names on the application for Law Review.

Hillary Clinton Campaign Spread Obama Muslim Rumors, Says Former Aide Reggie Love
One of Kilmeade's questions to Love revolved around an excerpt from his book, “Power Forward: My Presidential Education,” which chronicles Obama's rise to president. Love wrote about a moment on the tarmac at the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in 2007 where Clinton approached Obama to apologize for a staffer who suggested Obama was a drug user and seller.

Obama "very respectfully told her the apology was kind, but largely meaningless, given the emails it was rumored her camp had been sending out labeling him as a Muslim. Before he could finish his sentence, she exploded on Obama. In a matter of seconds, she went from composed to furious," according to a Washington Post excerpt from the book. Love described it as the moment Obama -- who is a Christian -- knew he would win the Democratic nomination for president.

Love confirmed this account to Kilmeade Monday, saying that Obama's campaign had "pretty decent data points" that told them about Clinton's role in the rumors. “For then-Sen. Obama, the campaign trail had been very challenging for him, and one of the things I don’t think he expected was in the Democratic primary there would have been as much smearing, as you want to call it, and going after people's credibility and who they are as a person with information that is a little less than accurate," Love said.
