last night I told my own crushboy that he would make a good birthday present for me, and he was like is that a line you want us to cross, and I said I'd thought about, and he said he had too... but wasn't sure if it was mutual attraction or mutual desperation. (#dagger). I reminded him that I'd been attracted to him for years and he said he has found himself attracted to me too but a romantic relationship probably wasn't wise. So anyway I didn't have him for a bday present but at least I can lay that to rest for the second and last time.

The problem here was making it a relationship conversation. Instead of "I've thought about it" the answer had to be "tonight I sure as hell do" then if he balks you just hit him with "unless you can't handle me" then you have the relationship convo after a few months of boning.
 
If I hadn't brought all that up last night, I might have invited him over to watch the Wake/Indiana game (he went there) but I will probably skip that for today.

I can't imagine having such a potentially awkward "conversation" like that via text. As you mention, you didn't know if he was serious. Plus if you get a positive response, you can't immediately act on it.

I made out with a cute Mexican girl who was part of a bachelorette party last night at the bar. I knew it was part of some scavenger hunt shit and I initially told her no but after a few drinks I submitted

I swore of these stupid things like 7 years ago in Charleston and held out until last night

I hate myself today. My brown fever got the best of me.

We (with 5 others) had just been out for my birthday and since we live just a couple blocks apart, I basically followed him nearly all the way home. I texted to say that I almost did follow him home but didn't want to scare him. He said he thought about putting his car in park and shouting happy birthday to me one more time.
