BC Game thread 7PM ESPNU

I don't quite understand how anyone can use the "this is a young team" excuse for seven years in a row.

Our three best players are sophomores.

That is because you are not good at math.

I know you have a recent extreme aversion to facts, but we have been young 7 years in a row and I can provide that information for you if you would like? I am guessing you don't really care about reality though.

You can't be this stupid, can you?

I'll dumb it down for you. It's not a pro team. There are new players every year. Thus you can be young almost every year.

Only Creamy seems to get my point. I didn't say that we couldn't be a young team seven years in a row. I said that I didn't understand how we could use that as an excuse for seven years in a row. There is no excuse for your best players being freshmen & sophomores for seven years in a row...unless you are a 1 or 2 & done school like Kentucky. Pretty shitty excuse for a program like WF, in my opinion.

ACC experience rankings:

1. Pitt
2. Clemson
3. ND
4. VT
5. UNC
6. GT
7. Cuse
8. L'ville
9. UVA
10. BC
11. Duke
12. Miami
13. WF
14. FSU
15. State

Pitt and Clemson are at the bottom of the ACC Standings, and they have the most experienced teams in the conference. FSU, L'ville and UVA are at the bottom half in the ACC in experience; yet, they are at the top of the ACC. Experience alone doesn't help much (see Pitt and Clemson).

I don't see us winning another game... we're gonna get blown out tonight.

You're all welcome!

That excuses bad coaching and folding at the end of most every game? COLLINS might as well be a senior. He is gone after this year.

I'm not sure exactly where this came from. It was in response to saying we're a young team, which we are. What exactly upset you about that?

Either way you have a poor concept of how numbers work and interact.

We actually weren't young last year though with cmm and devin

We were 299th in the country in "experience", where "experience" is defined as:

– The experience value is in terms of years of college experience where a player’s eligibility class is assumed to determine this. For the purposes of the calculation, a freshman has zero years of experience, a sophomore has one year of experience, etc.

– Like the average height calculation, the experience calculation weights the experience of each player on the roster based on minutes played. Players that have played less than 10% of their team’s minutes are not included.

Is that a minutes played per level of experiene number? Me thinks not.

Ww started 1 frosh, 2 sophs and 2 seniors w 1 junior, 2 frosh, 2 sophs who transferred and a walk on off the bench.

This year, we are starting 1 senior, 1 junior, and three sophs w 1 senior, 1 junior, 1 soph, and 1 frosh off the bench.
