are they the same refs that called the wake vs k state game?

All Ebb and no flow!

Very similar to our game. Refs dictating the game

Fucking terrible, and I don't think they benefited either side, honestly. Just horribly inconsistent.

I guess that's the one thing this game and K State-Wake had in common

The flagrant 1 on the big guy was ridiculous

I heard them tell the officials that it was after the foul too. How can there be a personal foul if it's technically a dead ball?

Regardless, that big slow Pole is a big reason why the Zags lost tonight.

Nice job ncaa. Terrible game. Well done refs

That guy was dead tired the last 5 minutes

Meeks went out of bounds before grabbing the jump ball with ~1 min left that gave UNC possession. I was shocked it wasn't reviewed.

16 called fouls in less than 8 minutes to start the second half

unwatchable unless you love UNC

They somehow managed to get every call in that sequence wrong. Should have been a no call all around or a simple foul on Karnowski.

That's what's crazy about the missed calls. It's one thing if there's a lot of action or you simply can't see because of angles. Two horrible calls though were unobstructed looking right at it.

Look at it this way guys--you can't be looked at as having what might be called a "good game" when the teams involved combine to miss over 100 shots. It just isn't possible. Both teams shot in the low 30% range, which creates tons of rebounding situations and crashing the boards, which both teams have done all year to get extra points. To spite what crappy announcer Rafferty says "nickel-dimers", they were not, they were called the way the NCAA has mandated since last season. All in the directive of the displacement/freedom of movement act. Just take for instance the last foul called on Meeks that Rafferty didn't like. It was a hip-check & Grant Hill picked up on it as a "freedom of movement" call. And although I didn't want it to happen, the F1 on Gonzaga was correct--he grabbed Carolina by the neck after he got his arm yanked. That was a good piece of officiating. So all in all a good job done in an awfully played game. UNC missed 58 shots & Gonzaga missed 48 shots, that means there were 105 rebounds total rebounds recorded, deadball, team or otherwise. And only 22 fouls each. They both played like crap.

I think it's fair to criticize the three adults on the floor who are paid professionals for their poor performance.
