For those I've offended let me offer a sincere apology.
Lectro was created to add some friction to what was otherwise a tepid football temperature. He was also a Deacon paradox in that he was an un-abashed HOMER who always saw the silver lining in a sometimes Black and sometimes Gold cloud.
When I first came out to the Deacon Boards I was greeted with straight hostility for posting "Can the Deacons beat any team on the schedule"...you'd have thought I'd shot somebody's dog.
Today, even the most extreme doubter believes it possible and expectations have been raised and so has the heat on the coaching staff...these are all good things and speak well of a renewed desire to see something special happen on the gridiron at lil' ol' Wake Forest.
As with every season ol' Lec recedes from the boards...not from fear of derision or anything of the like...simply, my work is done. This season, because Ol'Lec has been called out, I will show my face even if it is a most embarrassing loss (Heaven forbid) and I will cease any verbal sparring except for that which the board condones.
Please accept this sincere apology from a simpleton who merely loves him some Wake Forest Football.
