Anyone can sign them for any amount except the Braves. Klaw’s theory for why the Braves wouldn’t lose Maitan is that the money he would receive would expose the shitty system in place.
 
I think I'm good with this. Was not feeling inspired about Hendry, Beinfest or some of the other names being thrown around.
 
 
Reports are out that MLB is to announce that the Braves will lose INF Kevin Maitan, INF Yunior Severino, C Abrahan Gutierrez and RHP Juan Contreras.

So, apparently, they can actually resign with us if they wait until May 1. Maybe some of them have strong ties to the organization and will actually do that.
 
12 prospects gone, + Bae + a 14 year old we have apparently agreed to terms with. 14 players in total. Over $20 million down the drain.
