I see where the soon-to-be-fired interim coach rationalized a win if only this or that player had played and not been injured.

I love the selective reasoning. I kept hoping someone in the media would have asked the little asshole if he had heard of Greg Dortch!!
Yeah, he didn't play either!

Yeah, our trainers earned their paycheck today too, but whatever helps him sleep tonight.

That was 100% PI. Are you guys saying it wasn't even serious?

We would be losing our collective minds if that non-call was made in reverse! The ball landed 1.5 yards in front of the receiver that was TACKLED to the ground!

Horrendous no-call!

There was 100% contact and had it been a better ball I would say it was PI. I don't believe the receiver catches that ball with or without contact. If he did, it would've been an absolutely spectacular one-handed, diving catch.

But DV, you're right I'd probably think it was PI the other way around if we're being completely honest. Not losing my mind about it cause it's close, but I'd lean the other way instead of leaning the way I am now.

Just got home to the beach. Ran into some other WF fans at a Bojangles in Wadesboro. We were all smiles. An aTm guy walks in, looks around and sees all of us ...turns around and leaves. Can't blame him. Most fun ever at a bowl game!

I have been around a long time and always said Brian Piccolo was the toughest WF player I ever saw (1964 season); but John Wolford is every bit as tough. I just admire that young man so much.

For those who did not see the trophy presentation, Coach Clawson had the six seniors on the platform with him...no one else. So proud of them. They have earned my everlasting respect. Wish them all the best in whatever life holds for each of them.

Clawson is the fucking man. He really seems to love Wake Forest and seems like the perfect fit for our football program.

Way to go Wake! Team hung in there and kept on playing and scoring. Great win!

most entertaining Wake bowl game since the Weedeater independence bowl win over oregon!

Huge win for the program. Incredible offensive duel. Four and a half hours is way too long for a football game. A&M fans seem OK, I figured firing their coach would damper crowd figures but not to that degree.

When it was 31-21 I told the guys I was sitting with that we would need 50+ to win (and that I would take 52, but wouldn’t be comfortable unless we got 59). Emblematic of a wild day of football.

On the defensive side, Strnad had a really impressive line—10 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble, etc. We obviously have some improving to do on that side of the ball, but I’m excited about his future in particular.
