Possible Wake Forest Coaching Candidates Analysis

I understand that you hate Ben Howland. Of that, I am sure. "Fit" is probably a bit more nuanced than outright hatred, though... I mean, he seems to "fit" pretty well at Miss St. And he clearly "fit" at Pitt. You are certainly more familiar with the UCLA years than I am, though.

Perhaps "failure" was a bit strong. You did not use that word. I shouldn't have taken that leap.

I have looked at your opinions on previous hires. They've been pretty much universally terrible. That's accurate. That isn't a shot.

You seem to think RJ being wrong about prospective hires is other than par for the course.

There has never been anyone more consistently wrong about everything and more sure about his stance than RJ.

If you ever find yourself on the same side of an argument as RJ, rethink your premises.

That said, he is one of my favorite posters. No one self parodies better.

Nate Oats and Buffalo with a major blowout of Ohio U. 114-67.

Serious offense and still decent defense.

This disqualifies him from working in the current athletic department.

Really? I think Clawson, Muus, Walters, Bresky, Averill, etc prove that statement to be very incorrect.

If Nate Oats isn't coaching Wake Forest next season, it better because he said he didn't want to.

Much prefer Oats over Matta, but certainly wouldn't be disappointed if Thad ended up with the job. I just worry that Ronny Boy swings and misses a bunch of times to bring in some underwhelming guy like R. Turner

Not getting my hopes up. Would be surprised if Wes isn’t heavily rumored within 3 days of the firing.

Ultimate slap in the face: Oats takes over at WVU and names Mike Gansey and Kevin Pittsnogle to his staff.

Kevin really stayed in playing shape

VCU is now #39 in kenpom despite having no seniors in the rotation. Mike Rhoades right up there with Oats for me.
