Possible Wake Forest Coaching Candidates Analysis

I think it is safe to say after digesting that bombshell PM that the face of Wake Forest athletics will never be the same.

I find it weird that people are doubtful about Shaka give what Barnes has done after leaving Texas.

Same way Clawson used an alumni's private jet to recruit, I wonder if Currie can do something similar to recruit a new head coach while also remaining low key.

I’m surprised Shaka hasn’t been more successful at Texas, but I do think some coaches are just better fits for certain schools for whatever reason.

Not over his last four years.

Rick Barnes won 20 or more games three times in his last four years at Texas with a high of 24 and a low of 16. Shaka won 20 or more games once in his four years at Texas with a high of 20 and a low of 11. Maybe Shaka goes on a tear at the end of this season and boosts that number but it doesn't look likely.

meanwhile, vcu just anhilated george mason on the road, 71-36

up to 32 in kp

Sure Barnes did better, but a stretch to say much better. Shaka will have won either 31 or 32 conference games. Barnes won 35. Shaka's average KP has been 42, Barne's was 48.

Exactly. Love Shaka, but his time at Texas is a big red flag.

Especially when you look at some of the recruits he's been getting. The cupboard ain't bare son. Having said that,.....welcome to Wake.

When I said much better, I was referring to his record of making the NCAA tournament, as well as his final four, elite eight and sweet sixteen appearances at Texas.
