Possible Wake Forest Coaching Candidates Analysis

Similarly we don't know if Wes can do it in the ACC. He has no P6 experience at all. And, again, he took 6 years to even have a winning record. And it wasn't until his 7th year that he got a team into your arbitrary Top 100. So, again, why should I feel confident he can do it in the ACC at all? And will we have to wait as long for a turn around at Wake? Odom turned UMBC around immediately and has P6 experience. Those are my cherry-picked states and you have yours. So where we would agree is we'd like a more home run hire. Where we disagree is if it gets to these guys, I'm for the experience, quicker turns around, and winning an NCAA game.

RW has squandered our chances. We HAVE to hire a great coach this time or we’re toast. We can’t afford an experiment (e.g.Miller) or a “we hope he does well” guy (e.g Kelsey.) we need a coach who has demonstrated success. I can only believe Currie realizes that.

My biggest fear now is behind the scenes we strike out on the Shaka's, Matta, Oats trifecta, decide to just keep on rolling Manning out. I think our Atheletic Department is suffering from a lack if confidence.

Just so no one is mislead, Wes led his team to a conference regular season conf title his first after taking over when the Spartans were 2-8.

I still have the northern division champion T.

He won the division, not the conference regular season. Talk about misleading. FYI, Davidson was 16-2 in the other division plus Wofford and Ga. Southern had better ecord too and they were tied with Charleston. So tired for 4th overall...not exactly a "regular season conference championship". Lol

Nobody will be mislead. It’ll be a gigantic disappointment all the same.

Wojciechowsk may be the best option we have. Forget where he played college ball. Remember that he was a tough competitor and that he served on the staff of a winning program for years and that his Marquette team is 24-8 this season. I realize that this is not a popular option; but if we cannot get one of our top 3 choices he may be the best of the 2nd tier options.

You’re serious? 2nd tier? Wojo is the Coach of a top 15 team now. I begged this group to consider him 5 years ago. You laughed. Way, way too late. Why not offer K or Boeheim? Equally stupid waste of time.

Yeah cause no good coach ever lost 5/6. What a stupid criterion.

Fine, his best team is falling apart and he's yet to win an NCAA Tourney game at a school where the previous two coaches won lots of 'em

I never said he was a good coach. I said losing 5/6 doesn’t make someone a bad coach. Reading is critical.

Sorry, I'll be sure to include every single reason for my opinions in every post moving forward

Making your lead point effective isn’t a difficult concept. At least it shouldn’t be.
