NCAAT discussion (the end)

Nate Oats and Buffalo lose by 20. And it wasn't that close. Didn't look like Buffalo was ready for P6 level play. Is his coaching ready to step up. Of course #smallsamplesize.

Arizona (last year) and Arizona State and West Virginia and Syracuse would disagree

Wonder what the record is for favorites reaching the sweet 16. We’re looking at 4 1s, 4 2s, 4 3s, 2 4s, a 5, and a 12/13.

This tourney hasnt had many exciting upsets but the trade off is that there are a lot of good matchups and games between strong teams the rest of the way.

Key almost started a brawl at the end of the first half

Fair enough, I just saw him jawing right in the Houston's player's face and the benches emptying (granted, it was halftime)

The rest of this tournament is going to be awesome. I’ll take it.

Duke is lucky as shit.

+1....game ending was eerily similar to our game at Cameron a few weeks ago. Guaran "damn" tee if that was Wake defending, instead of Duke, the damn ball would have rolled around the rim and dropped in both cases.

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!

Is ESPN covering the NCAA tournament or just Duke? There are two articles about Duke on the first page. You have to expand the options at the top of the menu to find NCAAM, then go to scores, to get the scores from the games.

VaTech into Sweet 16.

Yeah, but they didn't look good in doing it. NAW had an awful game, and there was a long stretch in the 2nd half where no one on either team could hit a shot. That was actually 1 of their worst games of the year - good thing Liberty stopped shooting at halftime. And speaking of shooting guards who now can't shoot, Kyle Guy has just had his worst 2 game shooting funk I've seen him have. He and Hunter need to step it up this weekend.

I think MSU is the best chance the world has to defeat Duke before the Final 4. I think Duke will roll VTech this week. The shit that happened at the end of the UCF game seems to only happen to Duke. They've escaped losses to UNC, Wake and now UCF on the last few games. K must've really sold his soul to the devil for another title.

Duke is likely still under 50% to make the Final Four. Their metrics are deflated slightly due to the time without Zion, but they're only five point favorites over VPI on KenPom and would be underdogs to Michigan State if they played today.

ETA: Vegas has them about 62% to make it (-165), the best odds of any team overall. UNC is 42%, UVA is 55%, and Gonzaga is 52.4%

No they wouldn't. They were like -150 in vegas to win it all.

I'm just not seeing Duke as the best team in the nation. They peaked the first game of the year as they usually do. They certainly have been one of the luckiest teams in the country for the last few weeks, so that could keep them going all the way to a title.
