2020 Democratic Presidential Nominees

Obviously trying to insinuate that he has a WASPy background by showing he resides in Cape style home instead of a yurt in Burlington, Vermont, complete with several rescue goats.
How dare you sir!!!!

I was kind of expecting this to be on my Facebook feed from groups such as the other 98 and talk on Main Street haven't seen mention of it

[h=1]DNC makes it more difficult to qualify for 3rd debate[/h]
https://www.politico.com/story/2019/05/29/abc-univision-democratic-debate-1346099

Unlike the first and second rounds of debates, when candidates must cross either a donor or polling threshold to qualify, candidates will need to surpass both bars to make the stage for the third and fourth debates. For the September event, candidates will have to hit 2 percent in four qualifying polls, versus 1 percent in three polls for the first debates, and they will need 130,000 individual donors, up from 65,000.

Smart move. The third debate is in September. If you're not a 2% in September, you've had your chance. I'm guessing this would lead to 8-10 candidates on stage with Gillibrand, Kloubachar, and Yang on the fringes.

Just as she was building a little momentum Elizabeth Warren absolutely bombs on the Breakfast Club. Where my man Mayor Pete came across earnest and sincere, she brought cringes from the introductions to the closing bell. Yikes.

That was also just a really fucked up thing to say to her. She’s not like Dolezal at all. Dolezal knew she was white and claimed to be black. Warren was told - like I’m sure a lot of OGB posters have been told - that she is of Native American/American Indian descent and went with it... Not a great look, but what do you expect somebody to do with that bullshit.

I wouldn't document my Native American heritage without knowing some specific details, though. How did she experience being Native American? Family folklore is not a legitimate answer.
If your only knowledge is family stories with no direct, objective link to that "heritage", then keep it in your personal life.

Sure that’s the right way to do it. But I imagine a girl growing up in Oklahoma wouldn’t think to question anything and there’s enough Native American culture around that she wouldn’t think she needed to be a part of it herself in order to claim it. She’s doing what plenty of people have done before and after her. She just got famous enough to be called out for it and she bungled the response.

Wtf is the Breakfast Club? Can't believe anyone is still talking about this Native American thing. Literally every single day, Trump does something worse. Every day. And Dems and the media fall for it, time and again. Morons.

She can't escape the Pocahontas trap. It's one thing for a racist like Trump to call her a name. Now, a person of color has given her a new one: Rachel Dolezal. Game over.

She wasn’t a girl growing up in Oklahoma when she claimed that heritage. I’m sure there are more rich people that have used their power to cheat. Doesn’t mean I am going to let Trump off the hook.

She was a girl in Oklahoma when she learned her family background and she didn’t question it.

Finally a candidate I can support:

The Breakfast Club is kinda of like the Fox News of morning talk radio.

I give you whatabout a solid C-. The bar to become president shouldn’t be “better than Trunp”, so it’s a waste of time comparing the candidates to him. Trump is a POS. It is known.

Wasn’t really talking about the Rachel Dolezal piece her general demeanor was just awkward. Seemed like I was watching a bad actor rather than a person answering questions. It had zero sincerity.

You shouldn’t pick your president based on their acting ability. Just like you shouldn’t pick Oscar winners based on their policy knowledge. Warren is awkward, but she would be one hell of a president.

ETA: for example, Clint Eastwood is a fine actor, but I would never vote for him as a presidential candidate.

In the sincerity department Warren is Hillary 2.0. If you can't come across as sincere, over and over again, then that's most likely because you are not sincere. Go ahead and nominate her, see what happens.
